Re: Android Event Listener v1.0.0 - find out when your app is put in the background!

Looks good to me on Git.

Amazing how simple the code is once you’ve got it sorted! But the process of getting it there...

Hopefully this will help others go further to smooth some of the sharp edges still out there.

Thanks again!

Re: Android Event Listener v1.0.0 - find out when your app is put in the background!

May I suggest that you put it up on GitHub and put a link up here? Most of the folks that are interested in source code and under the hood stuff are already over on Github and used to looking there... Also, if you make any changes or updates, Github can notify the interested people if they have sign...

Re: RELEASE LiveCode 9.6.1

The automatic download also seems to fail for me as well. I always go directly to the source and do it manually. https://downloads.livecode.com/livecode/ Since I have several machines, the manual process means that I only have to download once and then can share the file around. Hope this helps Kelly

Re: Course completion certificate not available...?

When I went to the Temporary directory, there was no file or partial file there. I have done multiple reboots since reporting the problem (installing system updates), so I thought perhaps the reboots cleared the clog. I went back to the card, and the stack opened instantly just as it should, so all ...

Re: Course completion certificate not available...?

Hi Devin I'm on a Mac, and all the other links to stacks in the course work, so I think things are set up properly. I can double click Livecode files to start Livecode from my hard drive, so no adjustments are needed here I don't think. I think something has come off the rails on the server side of ...

Re: Course completion certificate not available...?

Hi Devin While you are working on the course, the ExamReview stack on page 10 of Lesson 14 cannot be found to download. When I try to download it, I get the message: "The stack file was not found. Try choosing Check for Content Updates from the Help menu, then exit and return to this lesson. If the ...

Re: Oh no another speed test : read thumbnail from raw

Thanks Simon. I was renaming in much the same way via Lightroom, so our systems are pretty similar. I'm evaluating Neofinder now because I hadn't heard of it before. But I would love to try and experiment with your software whenever you feel it is ready. One thing I know I will have to change is tha...

Re: Oh no another speed test : read thumbnail from raw

Hi Simon Same boat with Lightroom and Adobe. I refuse to do the subscription thing when I have bought Lightroom and upgraded 3 times. I went the Affinity route, and when they had the Covid sale, I bought the whole suite at half price. I'm finding a bit of learning curve compared to Lightroom, becaus...

Re: Can the void space within a group be made "Clickable"?

That really is so clear and elegant that even a beginner can understand it clearly.

Re: Infatica SDK - app monetization (Chrome, Windows, Desktop, Android)

From their website: Before You Start, Make Sure You Meet Publisher Requirements To start working with us, your app or software must have at least 50K+ active users I think that eliminates most LiveCode apps, unless there is a superstar app that I have missed... If you have 50K+ users already, I susp...

Re: String issues

Yeh that is the kind of set up needed; coding on a laptop isn't remotely as comfortable. I suppose i could add a screen but that would mean getting off the couch  One benefit of Catalina is that your iPad becomes a wonderful second screen to the MacBook. Perch the iPad on the arm of the couch...

Re: Looking for a volunteer tester...

I don’t think the Curl trick is going to work anymore. Shortly after installing Catalina, I moved an app from one of my machines to another over my LAN and got the same message and had to do the right click open as if it had come from the big bad internet. I believe Big Sur is going to be more so, s...
