flickering of scrollbar and player controller in El Capitan

I have a LiveCode application that uses a few player objects, some controlled by their own controller and one controlled by a Livecode Scrollbar. I was testing it on El Capitan and noticed that as a movie plays or the thumb on a scrollbar is advanced by script the background of the player controller...

Re: Odd script behaviour (aka Beware of Inline Coding)

Another odd thing about 'if ... then..' in one line is when you are in debug mode.

As you are stepping through the code it takes two steps to get past the one line 'if..then..' so the debugger is treating it as two lines.

Re: Standalone with launch command

I am a totally Mac guy but if LiveCode can run scripts in vbScript with "do ------- as vbScript" then you should be able to do it. I looked up bring window to front and found this following which is probably what you need.

Hi

I just saw your post when I was looking for another post about lcVCS.

You can download lcVCS from Monte's website
http://mergext.com/

You have to register and then click the downloads tab.

This download has instructions for using lcVCS

@Martin: I didn't think anyone ever found my personal experimental pages. :-) @jacque: I had lost the bookmark but with a few google searches I found it. 'LiveCode Haiku Jacque' does the trick. http://www.jacque.on-rev.com As far as the song I had just listened to this 'What does the fox say' parod...

Re: Drop in fps when playing movies on windows

One thing that might be causing a problem is setting alwaysBuffer to true. For the Mac there is a confirmed bug that doing this results in choppy playback. http://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=12811 Maybe the same issue is affecting QuickTime on Windows. Prior to the change to AVFoundation ba...

Re: What does step do? Also, changing single pixel colors?

Re: How to control audio balance?

Apple is deprecating QuickTime and moving to AVfoundation. The Player in LiveCode on the Mac is now based on AVfoundation. I would also like to be able to control audio levels on right and left channels but I have not been able to find a way to do it. Monte has and external mergAV http://mergext.com...

Re: getting the fileName of an image control

Hi 'the filename of image' is the correct property name to use. If you use 'get' then the filename will be in the 'it' variable so you have to put 'it' into your variable. get the filename of image "imageHolder" put it into tPicPath Or you can put the filename directly into the variable using 'put'....

Re: Standalone with launch command

Hi I am not sure if you can do this in Windows but If you are using a Mac you can use Applescript to do this. I have an app that starts copying a file in the Finder and I wanted the Finder to come to the foreground so the user will see the copy progress dialog while the copying is happening then whe...
