Re: From iPhone retina to iPhone non-retina

Very interesting subject, I know that in the past dealing with a Universal with different sized graphics, you would just manage those resources, never thought about resizing dynamically depending on the type of device used, this has probably all changed since this is an older topic.

Re: URL encode post to web

Edit, after playing around with URLEncode, and setting variables, I ran into something rather strange, it appears that messages are not being passed between scripts, in the same control or card script, it has been some time since I have used LC, but this seems like an odd way to behave as well, it a...

URL encode post to web

I have a basic example of a method of posting to a server online, in the following manner. username=_YOUR_ACCOUNT_USERNAME_&pass=_YOUR_ACCOUNT_PASSWORD_&XXid=_XX_ID_&message=_MESSSAGE_&topics=_COMMA_SEPARATED_TOPIC_NAMES So if I were to use the #URLEncode method would it work something like this? pu...

Re: get livecode file from server parse values

Awesome, yes, for some reason my dictionary would not pull up anything (like it was hung up or something) but on a fresh load from the disk, it did, The mode is one of the following: topLevel: editable window palette: palette modal: modal dialog box modeless: modeless dialog box sheet: sheet dialog ...

get livecode file from server parse values

I am curious if it is possible to get a livecode file and parse the text of the data in that livecode file. get url "http://someserver.somefile.livecode" I have in the past with previous, much older versions used the get url feature to pull data and then save it as a binary inside the application, b...

Storing text as a custom property

I was looking over a custom properties stack used to store values, I wanted to store text as a custom property, then populate a field with that text. I tried several different approaches to this and somehow I have missed something, I used the message watcher, to see if the engine was getting the mes...

Re: Associating stacks managing mulitple stacks

Hi, Craig yes, I was sort of wishing there was a visual method of organizing cards, for example if I had a stack with multiple sub stacks, it would be handy to be able to drag and drop sub-stacks and associate them with the "parent" stack, (As far as I know this does not yet exist) What I think woul...

Associating stacks managing mulitple stacks

Is there a way to manage and associate multiple stacks or sub-stacks in a way that is easier to manage? The reason I am interested in doing this is that I have a project that requires multiple levels of stacks, for example each stack would represent a choice for the user. I could group the choices, ...

Re: Deployment to WEB

The contained, nature of the code, makes it unlikely that what I am doing can be shared, easily, I have a custom PHP backend, which I really do not want to encrypt, however it needs to be protected from those that would share it with unauthorized users, the revweb, product, can create a method of di...
