Re: Flickering Problem

Hi Joel, A few "shot in the dark" suggestions... Firstly, have you tried changing the syncRate? By default, the syncRate is set to 20. Try lowering it to 2 (I wouldn't recommend lowering it to 1, although you could try that. Lowering it to 1, in my testing, has at times brought CPU's to their knees ...

Re: iphoneIdentifierForVendor (android equivalent?)

Thank you for replying Simon! iphoneIdentifierForVendor is in the dictionary for windows community edition 6.1 (has in fact been introduced in version 6.1) It looks to me like it might possibly be an alternative to using iphoneSystemIdentifier which is (from what I've read) been banned by Apple (use...

iphoneIdentifierForVendor (android equivalent?)

Will there be an android equivalent of this command?

Also, where can I read more about what the intended usage is for this command? Is it an identifier that can be used to uniquely identify a device (for the purposes of a licensing scheme)?

Thanks!

Re: Android Development Test Target Blank

Hello,

Just a guess, but have you checked your "Mobile" preferences? I have seen a few incidences where the path to the android sdk has been wiped out. Try bringing up your preferences and ensure that the android sdk path is still defined in the 'Mobile' section.

Re: Writing to and Reading from a File in Android

Just thought I would post some additional information to those that might come across this topic. See my initial post here that explains a problem with the "export image" workaround to (the seemingly not-working) mobileExportImageToAlbum command. As detailed in my post, on my Nexus S (4.1.1), "expor...

Re: apps vs home screen widgets

I really didn't think that asking about apps vs. widgets would be a taboo subject nor did I intend to solicit inside information. I've been a little out-of-the-loop and was asking an honest question.

My apologies for stepping over the line...

apps vs home screen widgets

I've searched forums and other resources as well as the livecode site but have not definitively seen if android support only creates "apps" vs. home screen widgets. Assuming Livecode can only create an "app" vs. a home screen widget, does anyone know if there are any plans in the future to support c...

Re: paypal ipn

Hi Mark, Thank you so much for replying! I have tried: libUrlSetSSLVerification false ...to no avail. Same results. I have since punted and am using a call to curl. Got it all working fine using curl. I agree that sandbox is 'functional', but I found that some fields were missing or obsolete as comp...

paypal ipn

ughhh..... I've read all I could...searched the lists, this forum...to no avail. I'm trying to write my ipn listener program in livecode. When I test in the sandbox, if I construct my reply (either GET or POST; constructed properly, both work) I can get it to work if I post to paypal via http. I can...

Re: update date/time MS Access field via ODBC

That's a nice find, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I did try both {d '2010-12-1'} and #12/1/2010#....but to no avail... I thought I had tried all permutaions of the above....for example: set mydatefield = {d ':1'}... or set mydatefield = #:1#... didn't know whether my variable for the place holder should just c...

Re: update date/time MS Access field via ODBC

Thank you again for responding, I really appreciate it! -my result was returning '1', obviously for one row updated -my fields were pure 'date' (actually, set up with Access as date/time with a format of 'short date') -no strange parameters or auto update or triggers On your fresh db question, I hav...

Re: update date/time MS Access field via ODBC

Thank you for responding. I have tried your suggestion along with many other permutations of things I've read online. I can't seem to get either date field to change to anything other than 12/30/1899. I think I'm going to punt on using the date/time data type and simply make it a text field. I know ...

update date/time MS Access field via ODBC

I have two date/time fields in an Access table. The 'Format' of the date/time fields as I set them up in Access is 'Short Date' I'm trying to do an sql update to change the value of the date fields. My test example: revExecuteSQL ldbid, "update customertable set lastactivitydate1 = :1 and lastactivi...
