Re: Easiest way to modify screens for "x iPhone notch"

I think some amount of design work or resize handler will be required. The aspect ratio is very different on the taller phones so there will need to be additional blank space in the UI. Using showAll (as below) you can design a background image that will have your desired content outside of the stac...

Re: Easiest way to modify screens for "x iPhone notch"

In order to scale and reposition, you will need to do some math. I’ll need to dig up the list thread on a scale demo stack that I built. The stack will remain at the size as developed but the coordinate system will need to be adjusted to get things visually where you want them. In ShowAll, the top l...

Re: ANN: Script Tracker

I've posted an updated version on GitHub that adds an index file. Here is the index for ScriptTracker: https://github.com/bwmilby/lc-misc/blob/master/ScriptTracker/ScriptTracker.md I do plan on revising the index a bit (it is inefficient currently since it gets re-written every update), but it does ...

After setting headers as before, should just be:

Code: Select all

get url tUrl

Re: Rest API Call for Aftership

Code: Select all

put temp["data"]["tracking"]["id"]
All of the keys are one more level down in the array. Also helpful to insert a breakpoint after the import to examine the actual array.

Re: Rest API Call for Aftership

Try...

put "ABCD" into myData["tracking"]["tracking_number"]

Site is expecting a nested dictionary based on the initial example.

Since the full JSON is provided in the curl example, you could just use that and merge in your tracking number.

Re: Mobile Sharing an Image via Whatsapp

My guess is that there is an Android API that could be leveraged in the same way as the iOS external. Using the FFI capabilities of LCB a library could be built to allow access to those functions from LCS. See the Toast Notification Library as an example.

Re: Mobile Sharing an Image via Whatsapp

No problem. I had an idea when I first saw the thread but it took me a bit to locate the correct command.

I think the URL direction is the way for Android. I’m not aware of an external, but with LCB it should be possible.

Did you look at mergPopActivity as a possible solution?

Re: Default handler list

Those examples are messages that the widget sends. You should be able to add them just like the LC default widgets. They are included in the docs at the top of the widget.

The default script/comments appear to be copied from support/defaultscript.livecodescript for each handler that is added.

Re: Livecode still way too slow....

Also don't agree with the LCB path taken. I think LC script itself should be improved to handle that task as well instead of creating a new language (without IDE too...). That is a point I have been musing about. I do not use LCB. @Richard. Can you give a brief summary of the benefit/momentum/excit...

Re: Deployment to Kindle Fire 7”

What cert are you using? The apps must be signed to run. I just sign for development only. I have built stuff for my Fire 7. I’ve been considering a Fire HD 8 as an additional device.

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

Couple of quick notes... 800 is too tall for some laptops. Mine is only 768 (1366 wide) so it would really need to be closer to 700. While desktops/laptops can’t rotate, if you resize wide/short then the landscape view may be useful. I mainly use Dash anyway though. I did test it the other night on ...

Re: Plug-in stack script not surviving sessions

I think we need to see more of the handler in question.

What about the following:

Code: Select all

on saveStackRequest
   pass saveStackRequest
end saveStackRequest
