Re: Mobile Sharing an Image via Whatsapp

My guess is that there is an Android API that could be leveraged in the same way as the iOS external. Using the FFI capabilities of LCB a library could be built to allow access to those functions from LCS. See the Toast Notification Library as an example.

Re: Mobile Sharing an Image via Whatsapp

No problem. I had an idea when I first saw the thread but it took me a bit to locate the correct command.

I think the URL direction is the way for Android. I’m not aware of an external, but with LCB it should be possible.

Did you look at mergPopActivity as a possible solution?

Re: Default handler list

Those examples are messages that the widget sends. You should be able to add them just like the LC default widgets. They are included in the docs at the top of the widget.

The default script/comments appear to be copied from support/defaultscript.livecodescript for each handler that is added.

Re: Livecode still way too slow....

Also don't agree with the LCB path taken. I think LC script itself should be improved to handle that task as well instead of creating a new language (without IDE too...). That is a point I have been musing about. I do not use LCB. @Richard. Can you give a brief summary of the benefit/momentum/excit...

Quite odd... I’ve been using the latest version of 9 just fine on my Fire 7 with MT8127. Fire OS 5.3.6.4

Re: Deployment to Kindle Fire 7”

What cert are you using? The apps must be signed to run. I just sign for development only. I have built stuff for my Fire 7. I’ve been considering a Fire HD 8 as an additional device.

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

Couple of quick notes... 800 is too tall for some laptops. Mine is only 768 (1366 wide) so it would really need to be closer to 700. While desktops/laptops can’t rotate, if you resize wide/short then the landscape view may be useful. I mainly use Dash anyway though. I did test it the other night on ...

Re: Plug-in stack script not surviving sessions

I think we need to see more of the handler in question.

What about the following:

Code: Select all

on saveStackRequest
   pass saveStackRequest
end saveStackRequest

Re: Plug-in stack script not surviving sessions

Do you end it with a pass? If you intercept the saveStackRequest then you abort the save I believe.

Re: Common Android Deployment issues

Have you tried Android Studio? I just downloaded this a while back: android-studio-ide-173.4907809-mac.dmg Version is up to 181 now though. I opened the image and installed studio using the defaults. Once done I launched Android Studio. There is a gear on the splash window when it opens that allows ...

Now following the comma there is "function(index, value)" http://api.jquery.com/jquery.each/ What you are seeing is an anonymous function (not posit...

Re: [Hacktoberfest] Improving Hi-DPI support on Windows as a Community

I don’t have the LC build environment for Windows (do have Mac and Linux). I don’t know enough about what is needed on Win, but if available for free I wouldn’t mind setting it up. I briefly had a HiDPI laptop, but it was replaced with something much lower res so I would only have limited testing ab...

9.1 or 9.0.1?
To have 9.1 you would need to build yourself since the first RC isn’t out yet.

Re: Collapse and expand Tree View Widget from code

PR submitted: https://github.com/livecode/livecode/pull/6738 @SWEdeAndy This update doesn't allow to keep two widgets completely in sync automatically. You could always take a selection from one widget and then select in the other widget. This would only do the unfold part. There is another PR requi...
