Re: Override mute switch?

What is missing from this thread is the “why”...
In a media app, pressing play should emit sound regardless of the mute switch. The mute switch should govern notifications and non-requested audio though (like the ringer).
Do not disturb is another setting on iOS and I’m not sure how LC handles that.

Agree. I’ll probably need to do a massive PR to fix them all.

Re: Header bar widget question

That convention is very prevalent in widget docs. The word “widget” usually means that you need to properly reference a particular widget as you suggested.

Re: revMail syntax question

Did you try using a semicolon? I think the mail client is parsing that string.

Re: Navigation bar: how to set hilite of item to false?

There is a PR to add this option:
https://github.com/livecode/livecode/pull/6404

You could always pull down the source for the widget and update it for your own use while waiting for it to get published.

The syntax will be:

Code: Select all

set the hilitedItem of widget to 0

Re: Use LiveCode in Filemaker

Based on your two posts, I’m guessing you are talking about the new LiveCode FM (Native) product that Klaus linked to. I’m not sure how many around the forum will be able to answer specific questions on that yet. Did you reach out to support directly?

Or are you talking about the embedded LiveCode?

Re: Easiest way to modify screens for "x iPhone notch"

What I meant is that you will need to account for the actual header bar height so the X models will need to have the top of your UI a few pixels lower than non-X models. Likewise, the lowest UI element will need to be a few pixels off the bottom edge for X models. And yes, without adjusting your geo...

Re: Easiest way to modify screens for "x iPhone notch"

Yes. It isn’t so much the notch area but that the height of the header bar is different. You also have the area at the bottom of the screen that should not be used. On the X models I’m pretty sure that Apple says to leave the header displayed in most cases which makes sense because you already have ...

Re: Easiest way to modify screens for "x iPhone notch"

I think some amount of design work or resize handler will be required. The aspect ratio is very different on the taller phones so there will need to be additional blank space in the UI. Using showAll (as below) you can design a background image that will have your desired content outside of the stac...

Re: Easiest way to modify screens for "x iPhone notch"

In order to scale and reposition, you will need to do some math. I’ll need to dig up the list thread on a scale demo stack that I built. The stack will remain at the size as developed but the coordinate system will need to be adjusted to get things visually where you want them. In ShowAll, the top l...

Re: ANN: Script Tracker

I've posted an updated version on GitHub that adds an index file. Here is the index for ScriptTracker: https://github.com/bwmilby/lc-misc/blob/master/ScriptTracker/ScriptTracker.md I do plan on revising the index a bit (it is inefficient currently since it gets re-written every update), but it does ...

Code: Select all

put temp["data"]["tracking"]["id"]
All of the keys are one more level down in the array. Also helpful to insert a breakpoint after the import to examine the actual array.
