Re: Icon Picker

The plugin is just a tool to manage families. For an app you would export the family as a LSON file and then import the family into the iconsvg library when the app starts. Left/right arrows move between pages of icons. Up/down moves between families. (If it does not work right away, select browse m...

Re: Enhancing the Tree View widget

I do recall a LCG topic where some things were done with the widget. I just did some custom code that allowed for the text size to be adjusted and a few other things for targeting mobile. I have not worked a PR up to get it pushed into the production code though. What other items were you thinking s...

Re: Icon Picker

See my SvgIconTool stack: https://milby.us/lc/SvgIconTool.zip That version has all of the icons included. The one on LiveCode share is bare. You can set the current icon family. Once set, whenever you use the icon picker, it will use the current family and display those icons. Here's a link to the t...

Re: LiveCloud

By free I mean that you have not obtained a paid developer account. XCode will generate a cert that is only valid a week at a time. If there is another way, I would like to know. I’ll probably end up paying soon enough though.

Re: LiveCloud

One clarification... you can push an app to your iOS device for free, but it only works for a week at a time.

Re: Collapse and expand Tree View Widget from code

This has been merged into the develop branch band will appear in the first release in the 9.1 line. You can download the LCB file and compile it now though. You will need to hack your install slightly to replace the widget. The advantage of doing that is that your stacks will work with the release c...

Re: locationChanged on mouseUp

What he wants is probably mobileCurrentLocation() to get the current location. If he wants to track changes, then he would respond to the message he originally asked about. Both require the app to start tracking location as mentioned earlier in the thread. I’m not sure if enabling tracking will gene...

Re: NumToChar in LCB?

A while back I did some speed comparisons for finding primes and LCS was much faster than LCB. The speed gains in LCB will currently come when it is leveraging compiled code (like the transforms that were mentioned).

Re: LC Buddy collaborative coding

I would suggest ScriptTracker for posting to GitHub. For a plugin, it would be an ideal way to keep the scripts inside the binary but also visible in GitHub for others to review and suggest changes. Whenever updates are pushed, the binary stack would be included with the script files. GitHub would a...

Re: Quoting between substacks

Someone wanting to prove that the engine can handle it. Not really useful in general. One use case to allowing it from disk would be allowing someone to open two “Untitled 1” stacks and rename them without having to jump through hoops.

But you can get two stacks in memory with the same short name if you really want to (but not by opening from disk)...

Re: Quoting between substacks

Why not just accumulate the data in a variable instead? That will be much faster than using a file and faster than using a field too. Instead of all of the write statements you could just put xxx after tData.

Re: Force a redraw or refresh of the screen...[Solved]

I’ve submitted some patches to the GM in the 9.0 series, so any bug behavior should be checked in the latest version. I don’t think anything I touched would impact what you are seeing though. Most was related to properly being able to clear GM settings and ensuring that adding multiple new controls ...

Profile is required to sign the app. Also, for iOS you must have a splash image for each device resolution that you intend to natively support.

Also, at times it helps to start the emulator before building the test app.

Did you sign the app? I just use the dev only option for testing.
