Re: carriage return

Need to clarify... numtochar(10) will put the proper character in the variable, but when sending data out the server uses the line ending setting. LF is what is used internally by the engine. All line endings will get normalized to that setting on output. In the IDE (non server), file: gets normaliz...

Re: carriage return

One thing remains though... if using a Mac, then “file:” will not work as expected (emits CR) so “binfile:” is needed to actually save files that use LF. Not difficult, but something to be aware of.

Re: carriage return

Unfortunately there is probably way too much inertia to make CR and LF actually mean what they say... internally everything is LF and converted upon output to the local standard except for MacOS X (where it still uses CR). I’ve asked about changing that for Mac but there is a concern about things br...

Re: Cannot paste tabs into excel or google docs in v.8

I've placed this function and one other in a file located here: https://github.com/bwmilby/lc-misc/tree/master/ClipboardHelper updateClipboardHtmlText will take the HTMLText that is on the clipboard and change the tags so that it will paste better into other applications. It won't do anything about ...

Re: Cannot paste tabs into excel or google docs in v.8

PR 6293 should correct this issue (bug 19206). When plain text is copied to the clipboard, styled text will not be added. Here's a function that can be used to prep the clipboard for text-only use outside LC: on makeClipboardPlainText local tClip, tRawType if the platform is "MacOS" then put "public...

Re: Cannot paste tabs into excel or google docs in v.8

I also can't replicate this on Win10. I even added a second line (cr) and got the extra line but still went into multiple columns as long as a cell was selected (no insertion point cursor). As soon as you are inside a cell, everything pastes into that cell though. I tested with DP11, Excel 13. I've ...

Re: BUG? AppleScript do script in standalone broken?

That should have been fixed. What version are you using? I’ll dig up the PR and check that nothing has changed. ---- Edit: Just checked... in DP11 the .sdef file is in the standalone app but is getting stripped out for some reason. The .plist file is also missing the key needed to reference the file...

Re: License, how it works?

I’ve had Indy and Business... you can use 6 and up with that license. 5 and earlier do not unlock with the current license.

Re: drawingSVGcompile Wish List

The third frame is just a browser widget. That is the “control” or reference view of the file. It is to see if the LC rendering is accurate. So anything that displays well in a normal browser should work there. The middle frame is the SVG icon widget. It only uses the path statements from the SVG. T...

Re: drawingSVGcompile Wish List

That is probably a bug in the library. I’ll see if I can find those maps to take a look.

Re: drawingSVGcompile Wish List

Something is going wrong with the compile function. What version of LC are you using (number and edition)?

(I wrapped it in a “try” block so it wouldn’t keep halting on you, but it doesn’t reveal the actual error.)

Re: drawingSVGcompile Wish List

Try this version. Be sure to extract the whole zip file into a folder including the SVG files.
I'm going to do some additional work tonight, but this one should at least open with a few examples that I know will render inside the stack.

Re: drawingSVGcompile Wish List

What OS are you using? I developed/tested on MacOS. I just verified it works on Win10. I'll work on an update this evening and include a couple sample SVG files in the package. Does it crash on every image you select? Are you using Community Plus 9DP11? Where did you get the SVG? I would like to try...

Re: drawingSVGcompile Wish List

There is no SVG in the stack. You need to drag a folder of drawings to populate that list. The loaded list is from here:
https://github.com/leungwensen/svg-icon

I’ll try to post an update that includes a few examples.

Re: drawingSVGcompile Wish List

Did you open a folder of SVG drawings first? I didn’t clear it out before packaging.

You can reference an image that uses SVG in a button. Depending on the specific SVG will determine whether it will scale (some files are fixed and the size won’t change, the image will just get clipped).
