Re: Snakes and ladders game

You could do it differently - no dice - allow 6 seconds to add 2 random numbers [hence add'ers name later]. Answer in 1 second = throw a 6. etc. Fail to answer = lose a turn. So not entirely random whether you succeed and teacher = :D You could also do it like a very old game [star chess - http://ww...

Using a phone/Android tablet as a PC drawing tablet

I wondered if anyone had seen: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... t&hl=en_GB and http://rfc2822.github.io/GfxTablet/

Which lets you use your phone/Android device as a drawing tablet via wifi for Linux.

Could this be created with Livecode - or via USB?

Re: Saving to camera roll

Just wondered if you got anywhere. The forum seems to have a lot of these tales that end in unresolved. Sad that people could go away from LC disappointed their app idea fails after weeks of work over a code anomaly that never gets fixed for Android.

Re: android test not working

There is another discussion on the forum where they're saying not to use the emulator then a real phone. I just use my phone now as I wanted it to be wys/touch/rotate/iwyg.

P.S. new baby - congrats.

Re: Installer for Android

You can also use Google Play to distribute a beta version to people who sign up to your Google Group. Then they can download like a normal app.

You are using the the default identifier - might be worth changing and write external storage, and tick write external permissions. I've also always had some requirement ticked like touchscreen.

Just realised the hyperlink to Accident Book on Google Play isn't working. Should be: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... p&hl=en_GB

Re: Trouble building app for Android

I had the same problem and fixed it by choosing "Sign for development only" for Signing in File > Standalone Application Settings > Android. Try that, maybe your Android is rejecting unsigned APKs? A cheat way to create a signature to sign apk's: register with http://appinventor.mit.edu/explore/ an...

Re: How can a button remove itself from a card?

I have a List of info-fields, each with a button to remove this entry, all created dynamically by script. ? Do you have a clever way to dynamically position objects for any device - tablet etc? I'm still waiting to figure out how to get fullscreenmode "exactfit" etc to work with a scrolling group o...

Re: Problem using GET, LOAD and PUT with URL in Windows 7

I notice you don't declare t... variables as local or global maybe LC 7 & windows is fussy about local variables being declared.

see variable checking:

Re: Is MobGui still alive and does it work with Livecode v7

I believe tMC is iOS only. Whereas I want an Android solution - I'd like Mobgui..whatever.. to be part of LC.. They should have bought the code to integrate it as I believe the majority of newer LC users want to build Mob apps - primarily... and then integrate with dB apps like Livecloud. Again LC&L...

Re: How to open *.livecode

Do you mean open recent file from the File menu? You'd be able to click one of the LC files listed. After using e.g. ccleaner after a crash/clean up - you may have lost that list.
