Re: Help with multiple density image basics

Sussed it..! At least i have found one way to see images at design time and then have those image behave properly at run time. In my project folder i have a folder containing all my images, called "images". Add the "images" folder to the copy files in standalone settings. In the "images" folder have...

Hi there, I was just testing the multiple density image in 6.5(rc1) Let me state my assumptions, and stop me when i am wrong please... Creating a test stack for iPhone arm 7. Created stack at 320x480. Created 2 images (320x100),(640x200), the larger image has a red x on it. Named the images myimage....

Re: Open stack at given path

I know what you mean, and the thought crossed my mind. But it's still slightly dangerous in respect of ever wanting to update the small amount of ui the stack comes with as new. Imagine if you will, when ios7 comes out, old apps are going to look very dated. That could happen in the near future to O...

Re: Open stack at given path

Year i normally save any preferences etc to an xml or sometimes just a plain text file and retrieve them each launch. In the case of this app, the more the user uses the app there kinda creating there own user interface of graphical elements generated by the stack, so my initial thought was great i ...

Re: Open stack at given path

The method i have opted for is very similar and very much inspired by your method Klaus, and i can only hope this will fly in a Mac App Store sandboxed environment. 1: Created a launcher stack myApp.stack and imported my main app stack main.livecode into the cMainStack of the launcher stack 2: In th...

Re: Open stack at given path

Thank you Klaus, Your method looks really interesting and obviously works for you. I dont need to check for updates as i want to be app store only, and they have a firm rule about apps downloading additional code. I will need to sit and really absorb your method tomorrow and decide if i can swing it...

Open stack at given path

I could well be barking up the wrong tree here, as i am not sure i can package a splash standalone and a main.livecode for the mac app store, but here are my thoughts. Could i put main.livecode in the splash standalone resources folder, package it up and submit to mac app store. Then on first launch...

Add soundName parameter to mobileCreateLocalNotification

Hi there, Please consider add this parameter "soundName" to the mobileCreateLocalNotification function. It is available in UILocalNotification Class Use case : Alarm clock. Create 10 local notifications at 30 second intervals, containing a 30 second sound file. Result, an alarm will play for up to 5...

Re: Play sound file with local notification

Hi there, I basically want to schedule an alarm. And had stated building the app without looking at this portion properly, assuming i could do this with local Notifications. It looks like i can't, as the local notification is only capable of playing a system sound (1 time) when the app is not in use...

Hi there, As far as i can see it is not possible to play a sound file when a local notification is presented..? Can someone confirm this please. If this is the case, can an external be created..? Re: Supporting Slovene characters

In my case i am currently all drag and drop files into the app. It maybe that this makes it easier for me, i need to get my head round it :-) I will have to do some tests and see if i can detect the bad chars that show in an input field as "?". If i can i don't think it will be to difficult to do no...

Re: Supporting Slovene characters

Thanks Mark, This sounds feasible : It would be possible to write an AppleScript to duplicate the file to a temp folder, rename it and use the file from there. But i have to consider sanboxing, so not really sure if i can do this. Also i would not really want to do this in each and every case, so wo...

Supporting Slovene characters

Hi there, I am guessing that Slovene characters are not the only ones that could create the issue i see, but there are the ones that have highlighted this issue. Specifically i am testing with the chars (čšž) My app gets the full path to a file the user drags in to a drop zone, ie : myFolder/myImage...
