Re: Getting short version number within IDE

That'll be it, of course, as it's not in the list when the menu item is not selected.
I'll have to work out some other logic for that instead. Most importantly, I can still get the value regardless.
Thank's for your help :-)

Re: Getting short version number within IDE

Hi Klaus, Thank's for that. It means there is still hope :-) Not sure why I can't get the value without that menu item selected. Can you tell me a couple of things please? What version did you test with? If you look physically look at the custom property sets dropdown for your stack in the inspector...

Hi there, I am developing an application for OS X, and would like to get the short version number of the stack in the development environment. I can and have been doing this using : if "cRevStandaloneSettings" is among the lines of the custompropertysets of this stack then put the cRevStandaloneSett...

Re: Data Grid search box (long detailed explination)

I am currently implementing a search feature in a current project and my code may be of help to someone. This code is based on a data grid form with 2 fields in each row template. I search on the second field in each row. You must handle the re-setting of your dgText appropriately, see here for more...

Re: set the dgText back to datagrid

I neglected to mention i am using 6.7, so i wonder if this is a bug. Unless you just tested with a few lines in the dgData, rather than the 600 or so. I will need to test this in 6.6.2 and see what happens there. Thanks for looking though Klaus, gets me closer to understanding why i am seeing the is...

set the dgText back to datagrid

Hi there, I am puzzling why this much simplified example of what i am trying to achieve does not work... So in this simplified example i am grabbing the dgText and presuming i can simply restore it from the variable at a later date..? on mouseUp put the dgText of group "DataGrid 1" into virginData s...

Passive FTP

Hi there, I am having some difficulty reliably uploading files to a server (dependant on the server). I have wrote my code, and all works as expected on 1 server (a run-rev server). But on another server of mine, i get sometimes a socket timeout message. Normally though i just see "error" in the sta...

Re: Populate buttons onMouseclick

Could you mean "create" new buttons and set there size and location..? If so in the button script : on mouseUp repeat with x = 1 to 3 create button ("newButton" & x) set the width of button ("newButton" & x) to 75 set the height of button ("newButton" & x) to 40 put x & 00 into tYloc set the loc of ...

Re: Still OK with Apple to develop for iOS 7 with RunRev?

Ah i see :-) Given the implications of the Apple announcement more thought. And i doubt there will be a long term issue. LC is already building against a version of Xcode isn't it. It's likely just a formality for the Livecode team to keep on top of this. Lets just hope its not Apple first move in a...

Re: Still OK with Apple to develop for iOS 7 with RunRev?

I was just about to ask the same thing. I just opened that email myself. My first thought was "OK thats the end of that then". I mean it sure does look like Apple have had enough of poor quality apps swamping the app store from High level language platforms like Livecode among others. But i do hope ...

Re: Detect the end of a stack resize

Yes i am resampling at "best" And the image could potentially be massive, a full frame camera image for example, anything the user wants to drop in there. I have been testing with images around 1280x 900, around 400kb. I think it must be the fact that the resizestack message is passing up the chain ...
