a new problem

All of a sudden, my "on MouseUp" doesn't work on my scrolling table field. My "on MouseDOwn" does work on this field.
Has anyone seen this happen?
all other field in my app work with the "on mouseUp"
Update: this problem seems to be specific to my application.
Now, what to look for?

Re: emulating the ask dialog

Yes, both the ask and answer dialog boxes, as far as I know.
The problem that I am trying to avoid is: I have multi-line table list fields that need to be editable also.
The ask dialog makes this hard to do.

Re: emulating the ask dialog

Thanks.
Yes and I have been trying to avoid that. I want this to work seamlessly in mobile as well and I don't want to use a substack in the Mobile version.
I don't know if I can have it both ways.
I may have to concede to a substack.

emulating the ask dialog

I have several fields that I would like to input data into. These fields are contained in a group. I have a repeat loop that cycles through each field in the group and I am now interrupting the repeat by using an "Ask dialog". My repeat loop identifies the fields by name so I can focus into each fie...

Scripting Standards

When I script, I try to use some of the following standards: I do use comments to explain my scripts - If I have to go back at a later time and even in recent reviews, I use comments to explain my logic for the script. I also use the following comment tags: I use all caps so that the comment stands ...

Re: the eraser tool

even though there is no icon for the eraser to be seen, when you move over objects with the mouse or your finger, objects are erased.
I know this sounds weird but believe me it does erase parts of the image that you move over.

Re: the eraser tool

I have been able to get all of the other tools to work on my ANdroid device. The eraser tool works but you just can't see it. I found a few things in my research on this topic. See the screen captures about them. 1. I added a copy of a script that I am using. 2. I also added a screen capture of the ...

Re: the eraser tool

Jean-Marc, the erase tool does work in LC 9. The problem is, it does not show the eraser tool image. You have control over the image for the eraser, but you just can't see it. It is the same in LC 8.1.3 rc too.

Groups

I have set up a group so that I can show a particular field on multiple cards.
Is there a way to unlock the location of the group so that I can place each one in a specific place on a card other than the location that the group was originally created?

Android Drawing Tools

I know that I posted a question about the eraser tool in the Android O/S. Now I am asking a more general question that should also include Apple mobile devices also. The eraser isn't the only tool on ANdroid that seems to be not working. I must ask if anyone has seen the same deficiencies on the the...
