Re: [ANN] bnGuides alignment tool on livecodeshare

bnGuides has been updated to version 0.5.0 The update fixes some instances where graphics used by bnGuides were not properly removed from the target stack. Additionally it adds the option to display distances to nearest neighbors when setting the capsLock-key. Thanks bogs for suggesting "distances" ...

Re: Do as Applescript Execution Error when looping Objects

Hi Simon, I now tried: tell application "Mail" -- get all the messages in the list with same subject. set tMessageList to selection set tEmail to "" set tbreak to "----------------------- ! -----------------------" set tOutput to "" set aMessage to "" repeat with aMessage in tMessageList -- loops fr...

Re: Do as Applescript Execution Error when looping Objects

Hi Simon,

maybe this is the problem
repeat with aMessage in tMessages -- loops from first to last
you declare the variable as
set tMessageList to selection
tMessage vs tMessageList.

The script you posted throws an error when executing in AppleScript.

Do other widgets work in this setting? Yes it does
What do you mean? Do other widgets work with Android standalones? Or do you mean that your graphic works with your standalone?

Kind regards

Re: Managing scroll in grouped groups

Hi Kaveh, resizeControl is only necesseary when the rect of the "main" group changes. Then it resizes the "back" graphic to fit the "sub" groups so that scrollWheel messages can be trapped by the "main" group. "resizeControl" is a system message that is sent to a group when it is resized. On "openFi...

Re: Managing scroll in grouped groups

One thing I found is that when I have more than one field in a group, then when I focus in another field in the same group sets the scroll of the parent group to zero. Off-hand, is your script designed to handle multiple fields in a group? I did not test that. Best would be if you could post a samp...

Re: Managing scroll in grouped groups

Hi Kaveh, here is a version of your example stack that can be scrolled with a scroll wheel. To make this work I added a graphic at the lowest layer of the main group. That way rawKeyDown is trapped by the main group. That graphic is resized when you resize the group. Furthermore it scrolls the subgr...

Re: Gauge widget

Hi Jose, I´ll try to do it myself , using oval graph ! it is a bit tricky to do this using graphics. I did it before I did the widget. I post the graphics version here for you to use/change/study. I would try to get the widget to work in your Android-app. I don't think your error when building a sta...

I guess you are aware of the option to import .svg files into images in LC 9. create an image "i1" and try with the current LC 9.0.2 on mouseUp lock screen answer file "choose" with type "SVG image|svg" if it is empty then exit mouseUp put it into tFile put URL ("binfile:" & tFile) into tSVG put dra...

Due to a bug fix in livecode builder for ATAN2 in LC 9.0.2 the interactive "turns" of the needle where inverted. This is a version that works in LC 8.x.x and 9.x.x Instal the .lce file via "Extension Manager" either using LC 8.x or 9.x. (LC 9.x will automatically recompile the widget) The source cod...

[ANN] bnGuides alignment tool on livecodeshare

I have put a stack "bnGuides" on livecodeshare (or access it from "Sample Stacks" from within LC). It is best used as a plugin. http://livecodeshare.runrev.com/stack/918/BnGuides bnGuides.png It helps with visual guides to align objects. It complements the build-in alignment tool. Feedback welcome. ...
