Re: frame-byframe with Video Formats

Hi Klaus, Xero,

I did not test enough and did not read the dictionary well. I fell afoul of thinking that "currentTimeChanged" was related to a frame change. This assumption did not work out.

I will leave the stack here as a "bad" example.

Kind regards
Bernd

Re: frame-byframe with Video Formats

Hi Xero, here is a stack that attempts to implement a step forward and step backward button. It works most of the time. To determine the frame duration I have to "calibrate" the movie for 1 second. I then take the time units in the timescale and divide by number of frames. The logic is almost all in...

Re: Parse to number error

Hi Greg, the problem here is that "as Number" has to be lower case "as number". Uppercase is for casting types in variable declarations. Note "log" which is very helpful for debugging. You can log anything if you put it into square brackets [] like log [tVariable1, tVariable2], for strings you can o...

Re: Add pref for renaming behiors

Hi Jim, as outlined in the link to the forum you posted it is probably not possible to reassign the behaviors when you rename the stack where the behavior buttons live. In addition to the problems mentioned in the other thread you mentioned there is the problem of nested behaviors which can consist ...

Re: relative image paths and custom controls

unfortunately I made a mistake in the code snippet. I should read on newGroup resolve image "redQMark" relative to button "bOne" of me if it is not empty then set the hilitedIcon of button "bOne" of me to the short id of it end if resolve image "greenRound" relative to button "bOne" of me if it is n...

Re: FFI Help wrapping ObjC

Hi Paul, I installed the library and the .mid files and .sf2 files Works like a charm once I understood that not all .mid files play with all sound files. Nice to have "boing" back... It feels like a miracle, kind of, to me. And I imagine you felt the same. I am _almost_ tempted to look into ObjC an...

Re: background processing and mergBLE

Hi Doug, unfortunately I can not help with mergBLE but maybe this can help you. Monte is not regularly scanning the Forum. But as you might have found out already he has a web-site dedicated to the merg externals. http://mergext.com/home/mergble/ I suggest that you contact him directly via http://go...

Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

Hi terlibi, I made this little stack that you put into your plugins folder in "My Livecode" i.e. the user provided plugins I suggest to remove the other one. Then do as bogs said: when livecode is started go to the development menu -> plugins, choose settings. make the plugin start at startup, make ...

Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

HI bogs, terlibi, if you set your plugin up as bogs suggested so it get the "revEditScript" message then you could try in the script of your stack script as only scripts (no startUp handler) on revEditScript if not (the optionKey is down) then send "doInverse" to me in 300 milliseconds -- give edito...

Re: widget format switched

here is a stack that helps a bit with the problem of recompiling when switching between LC 8 and LC9 DP11 It hacks the IDE on the fly, not permanently. If you close LC the script is hack gone. It works both ways, it forces a recompile on LC 8 for LC 9 compiled community widgets and also when working...

Re: Changes in snapshot over versions

Hi windowsLC, I tried double-clicking on a Mac using LC9 DP11 and it imported a snapshot of the whole screen. Using the crosshair cursor it imported the selection. If accidentally your stack is located at the screenloc you would not notice that an image was imported. If that is not the case you prob...

Re: Tool change shortcut

Hi hoanghuynh, welcome to the forum. there are a couple of issues with your approach. rawkey 65473 is F-Key 4, so a mouse operation would never trigger this. Almost all rawkey-related messages are keyboard triggered, the scroll wheel also sends rawKey messages. A mouse operation would send a couple ...

Hi bogs,

actually the credit goes to Hermann, he proposed a solution similar to this one for tinyDictionary.

Kind regards
