Re: Disabling choices in Scrolling List Field?

What I think I'll do is look over a list of states on startup and set the colors accordingly, when the user clicks on a list-item it checks the list again to see they should have access or not, and simply not change the current group if they don't.

Re: Deploy to AmigaOS 4.1+

Going on and on?
I'm just replying to people being dicks for no reason :)

Why am I not making a compiler for LC -> AmigaOS?
Because I don't know how, but I figured I'd make a *request* in the *request* area of LCs forum.

Re: Deploy to AmigaOS 4.1+

AmigaOS 4.1 is not from the 80's, it's a modern OS. The ORIGINAL AmigaOS is from the 80's, just like Windows I believe, but just like Windows 1.0 has nothing to do with Windows 8, AmigaOS 1.0 has nothing to do with AmigaOS 4. And I agree, the more features the better, but again I only see it as a po...

Re: Deploy to AmigaOS 4.1+

Interesting that there's so much negativity and BS around here. What's the issue? The more platforms supported, the more developers will use LC. If LC supported AmigaOS more people would purchase a license, since there's currently nothing like it available (Except for Hollywood, which is not current...

Re: Disabling choices in Scrolling List Field?

I understand how I can simply check the line and see if the option is "available" and so on, I was just trying to figure out if there was a simple command in the style of set disabled to true on option XYZ
Instead of having to do all the other work.

Re: Point Of Sale Software

The idea is certainly feasible. Personally I would look at creating a server and a client portion (Or multiple clients, for each different section such that servers, cooks, management, etc., have their own client which focus on different information). Where to begin? You'll need networking, so look ...

Re: Deploy to AmigaOS 4.1+

richmond62, I don't see the point of your post. This is the feature request area, no? Well, my request is that LiveCode gets an option for deploying to AmigaOS. Having LiveCode able to do so would boost the amount of programs for the AmigaOS, and hopefully help in creating those killer applications ...

Re: Disabling choices in Scrolling List Field?

No I'm good, I was trying to figure out if there was a way to actually disable the input (Greyed out, the user not able to click it at all)

Re: Disabling choices in Scrolling List Field?

If I can't actually disable it, just set color, I'll probably just keep a list with approved/not-approved that is checked before displaying the group.

Re: Deploy to AmigaOS 4.1+

This is one of the problems, people have no idea. AmigaOS 4.+ is a modern OS that is in active continued development and runs on modern hardware, with new hardware also in development. http://www.amigaos.net/ You're right, the relatively new forum over at Hyperion only has 520 something members, but...

Deploy to AmigaOS 4.1+

I'd love to see an option for deploying to AmigaOS 4.1 and above.

I think there would be a ton new software created if there was and option for creating AmigaOS binaries.

Disabling choices in Scrolling List Field?

Is it possible to disable (Grey out) fields in a scrolling list field? The idea is to use it as a sort of menu selection where you will have to complete an objective before you're allowed to advance, but it would be nice to be able to see where you are, and the titles of what's coming up in the list...

Re: Automatically fill fields and press button in Web Browse

Do you *need* it to interact with the website? How about sockets? How about URL variables? Any programming language can be used to create hacking tools, so that's completely beside the point. LiveCode can use POST, so you could POST a "form" created by yourself in LC which corresponds to the form on...

Re: Best advice for developing back end server for app

Hehe, you have a point.

The only truly secure solution is to not even try.

The second best solution is to assume that anything you put in place will be circumvented, ergo you place secondary and third layer protections, both from inside and outside attacks.
