Moving the position of the Colo(u)r Picker

Hi I used Neil Roger's trick of moving the "answer dialog" via a suspend stack command some time ago. So today I thought , nice and easy to move the Color Picker we get from answer Color command. Well printing the openstacks to the messagebox does not have any effect to the list pre and post the sus...

Saving arrays to Sqlite instead of external Stack - Example

Hi On the uselist there was a question from Mike Kerner I'm working on a session for next week's LCG. We are all working on fun super-advanced pushing-the-envelope things in LC, but I wanted to do something for the beginners who are watching LCG, and handling data seemed like an obvious choice. I ha...

Re: FINDING THE ANDROID SDK

Thanks - I somehow got it working on my windows laptop by not installing the latest version and a factory reset on the phone - when I have time (yeah right!!) i'll have to document a recipe ... I Think if we had an archive of older SDK's for such a reason it would be good. In fact I think the mother...

Re: Move revsecurity.dll to 'Externals' for StandAlone?

Seems even the mothership doesn’t know either.
Sounds to me it would be a patch in the executable otherwise someone would have piped up by now.

Re: FINDING THE ANDROID SDK

Hi

If the 2011 version works for. 6.7 that would be fine I do have a Mac so maybe I’ll use that as the 6.7 Android compiler.

Would very much appreciate the old tools .. still open to the old tools for windows as well though

Thanks Jacque

Re: FINDING THE ANDROID SDK

Hi Jacque and fellow livecoders I had already downloaded those and managed to get LC 9 and LC 6 to create APKs but then all of a sudden the APKs gave a Totally blank screen on my Android phone whether compiled on Version 9 or 6.7.11 After installing reinstalling , 3 different computers 2 virtual box...

Re: FINDING THE ANDROID SDK

I have been compiling Android standalones for a good couple of years now with no problem. I installed what was needed via the GUI SDK Manger. This time though the Google in their infinite stupidity have decided we need The Gorilla as well as the Banana so have us the SDK manager wrapped up inside An...

Printing Regression Bug in LC 9 DP11 and 8.1.8rc 2?

Hi I've just spent a couple of happy hours trying to get something working that has always worked (and still does) in V6.7.11 but doesn't work in 9.0 DP11 and 8.1.8 rc2 - didn't try any others. (those were the only 2 others I had installed) Basically I have a report with a text field in which I unde...

[SOLVED] Printing to Com port to open a Cash Drawer

Hi for the last year or 2 I have been using a serialcash draw trigger box for opening a cash draw on my POS system (model DT-100RS) or if I was attaching it to a Tablet the USB version (DT-100U). All I needed to do was send anything to the serial port (or virtual serial port) and the cash draw would...

Re: IT variable becomes Local

Hi Mark, All is now fine with the world - In this case I couldn't see the wood for the trees. Basically I had an Answer statement followed by a put to the messagebox for testing - I removed the answer statement and applied - In most cases I would delete both statements. But as soon as I saw the drea...

IT variable becomes Local

Hi This might not sound like much of a problem but it's an itch that I need to scratch and it has happened a few times over the years. I always have variable checking set to on in the editor preferences. I never need to explicitly declare the IT variable at the top level as it's presumably a default...

Re: Raspberry PI and LC

HI Thanks Richard I missed the PI at the end of that download. But my question is still Do I have to run 7.04 on the PI and compile or can I somehow create a linux Binary using the windows version of that 7.04. The OP in the above thread implied this and Max's answer sort of confirmed it , but I hav...

Raspberry PI and LC

Sorry for what might seem a silly question but which is the latest version of Livecode that will create binaries for the Raspberry PI- the IDE need not run on the PI although I can see build 6.5.1 will run on the PI. The reason for the question is that I saw in this thread https://forums.livecode.co...
