Hi,

You can check in the dictionary: closeStackRequest

Handle the closeStackRequest message if you want to prevent a stack from being closed.

Re: Releases and LiveCode updater

Thierry, Thanks for the information. I've found a link that confirms what you say: https://www.mail-archive.com/use-livecode@lists.runrev.com/msg89052.html Did you see it on the use-livecode mailing list or has it been publicised elsewhere too? Jim, Yes, I saw it in the use-list; Panos post. Have a...

Re: Releases and LiveCode updater

Can anyone explain please? Thanks. Hi Jim, Due to technical Apple Store innovation, iOS apps build with the former LC 8.1.6 were rejected by Apple thus this new one. Apparently, there is no differences except if you need to sell you iOS app. I'm sure someone will come in if I'm wrong :) Regards, Th...

Re: Find my IP Address?

Hi, There's quite many possibilities why you would want to know your external IP: For checking the functionality of your DynDNS, for pinging/ portscanning yourself from the outside, for finding your clients data in the log on a remote server etc. etc. Well said AxWald ! One way to do it without the...

Re: Locating errors shown by Standalone maker

Hi,

shooting in the dark...

Could it be in a custom property?

I'm not sure the Find & replace will find it.

As someone stated before: lots of silliness in this thread, including my own post :)

By any chance, could it be because of the subject's name?

Hi,

What happens if you slightly modify these 2 lines ?

Code: Select all

put the text of image "Background" of stack "ImageArea" into tData
put tData into URL ("binfile:" & tFile)

Re: custom slider for OSX and Ios

Bonjour Jean-Marc,

Just had a quick look and found out
that if you add this handler into your Slider graphic script,
you get the right behavior:

Code: Select all

on mousedoubledown
-- put "you're too fast my friend :)"
end mousedoubledown
Bon dimanche,

Thank you for expounding further on that Thierry, in all the other languages I've used, I've always filled out the complete expression. and me and some others the opposite... It is good to know, though, since I will not regard it as a mistake anymore :) Great! that for clarity I will... This is a p...

if the hilite of me... I don't seen a comparator, equals, <> , is empty? Doesn't that need to be in before anything else can happen? Mmm, no feelings involved in this line of code :) an IF statement conditionally executes code depending on the truth value of an expression. It has the following form...

( http://pages.uoregon.edu/koch/BasicTeX.pdf ) Hallo Hermann, As already said few times, No I didn't have any knowledge of TeX and Co. Reading very quickly from your link, it seems that I've don...

Re: Shell command fails in LC

Hi Keith, and here is the results of my latest tests: my former installation of a portable TeX in a *normal* defined folder (not a USB nor CD/DVD) works. Now, I"m moving the whole TeX folder to another place, edit the $PATH env variable, and run again the compil of a Tex document, and it still works...

Re: Shell command fails in LC

playing a couple of hours with LiveCode and the shell() function, I end up with this one-press-button TeX portable basic installation: Capture d’écran 2017-07-20 à 21.42.11.png and in the "test TeX" button: on mouseUp put shell( "tex -v") end mouseUp TeX 3.14159265 (TeX Live 2017) kpathsea version 6...
