Re: Enhanced "combine" command

All this is doable. No argument. But it surely has to be admitted that the enhanced command is cleaner and more accessible. The delimiters live in that single line. There is a bit more work required to set them up in Thierry's gadget. gadget? So here is a variant, where you can call the fun...

Hi Craig,

Sorry, I'm getting old :)

If you ever use it and want to change some behavior,
I'll be happy to give a hand...

Re: Enhanced "combine" command

This can all be done right now, but not in one line. Hi Craig, you could try this little piece of pure livecode and might be that you'll like it and use it before your request will be honored? function flattenArray A , T, X if A is not an array then return T & X & A & d1 repeat for each key K in A ...

So try to deal with it ....-
I meant and still believe LiveCode engine could deal with this in another way...
And still "Good luck", with your working app ;-)
Danke :)

Re: strange rendering on text field

you could think about ....... Thanks but I wasn't asking for any kind of help, as I stated before. As I found what I consider an anomaly (seen in the screenshot), I just wanted to report it to the team in this forum named 'Bug triage'! Good luck with your app! MyApp was working fine before I've pos...

Thanks Hermann,

Yes, I'm aware of this but might be another way to deal with this?

don't know...

In my case,
I don't care much as long as the content of the field is not altered
when transforming it.

strange rendering on text field

Hi, is this a known bug? I'm on Mac Sierra with LiveCode Indy 8.1.6 (the latest). The text inside the field is fine as I can use it to build a working html page; only the rendering of the 1st line is wrong. Here is a screenshot: Capture d’écran 2017-09-21 à 12.15.47.png N chars: 20207 N lines: 8 N c...

Re: about 'local X = empty' statement

and that's the point. I was guessing this too, and that the result is the word 'empty' instead of an empty variable looks a bug to me. I would agree it seems 'bug-ish', after all if you have nothing in a variable, it should be nothing whether you write empty, "", or some other method. Doing this wo...

(but it doesn't have to be there):

Code: Select all

local x = empty

on opencard
      answer "<" & x & ">"
end opencard
Think what could be the answer, and try it...

Hi,

You can check in the dictionary: closeStackRequest

Handle the closeStackRequest message if you want to prevent a stack from being closed.
