Re: Graphics in Motion - What Comes with the Territory?

Jacque,

You nailed it! Cool, well I will keep those things in mind as I make my way. Thank you very much for taking the time to help me out.

Best wishes,

Re: Graphics in Motion - What Comes with the Territory?

Jacque, Thanks for the responses! So, for 1), is this "highest level control" the control with the highest numbered Layer? I'll look into it. And for 2), I kind of expected as much, unfortunately... I'm kind of realizing my dream of creating an app and setting it free into the world is a pipe dream....

Re: 6.0

Hi Malte, Is AE still running for LiveCode these days? I have a license from a few years ago, but I was wondering if it's now deprecated for the newer versions of LC. The link in this thread does not seem to be working. Any tips on how to keep AE as part of my LiveCode toolbox would be greatly appre...

Graphics in Motion - What Comes with the Territory?

Hello all, I have been an LC developer since the original Kickstarter project, and before then was not a developer at all. Therefore, LiveCode is the only programming language I have notable familiarity with (exceptions are one term of C from university and some Matlab, Visual Basic for labs in univ...

Re: App Menu on Android LG G3 Freezes when Reaching LC App

Hi MaxV,

Sure. The name of the app is Partners' Consent in the Google Play Store. The link is https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... ersConsent

Thanks for your response.

App Menu on Android LG G3 Freezes when Reaching LC App

Hey all, I have a question I have been putting off asking for a long time, but I am still curious, so I wanted to see if anyone has noticed the following: I have a LiveCode app installed on my Android LG G3 via the Google Play Store, as it is already published. When I go into my phone's App Menu and...

Re: AudioClip Distortion

Simon, I could look into doing that... right now the folder containing my sounds is in the Copy Files in Standalone Settings. Would moving them into globals reduce buffering time or something? I have 4 instruments with 8 notes each, with each note being about 2s long. Each file is about 329 kb. I'm ...

Re: AudioClip Distortion

Simon, Thanks for your reply! Right now, I have alternating scripts. For development, I am using the method I laid out previously, and I have it using the mobilePlaySoundOnChannel call for mobile. I have not yet tested on mobile, though. However, I have an object that is being moved around on the sc...

Re: AudioClip Distortion

Follow-up: I did use a Player object and placed the same filepath into it, and it sounds perfect again... So I guess my previous questions can be made obsolete if I can figure out a better methodology for this. Here's what I'm about to try: - Have a hidden Player object on the card - Change its file...

AudioClip Distortion

Hello friends, I am trying to figure out how to put sound clips into an app, which is ultimately destined for Android and iOS. I've seen some forum posts, and tutorials. Right now, I'm only getting through the development environment portion of it, and already having a problem that seems really proh...

Re: !!! Stack File Corrupt?

Well, this was kind of a disaster, but I managed to salvage the script by opening the bad LC file in Text Wrangler. It had a smorgasbord of jibber jabber, but also nestled in there somehow was most of (if not all of) the script. I spent the last few hours recreating the objects I lost, and the major...

!!! Stack File Corrupt?

Hello, I may have an emergency on my hands... I had two separate stacks open, and both happened to have a substack named "Resources". I got a warning that LiveCode doesn't discern the difference, and that data may be lost. Knowing I had just saved before opening the second stack, I felt secure, and ...

Re: BlendLevel is Resetting Upon Reopening Stack

Richmond62, Indeed the most exciting app ever (haha)! Your stack worked on my LC, as well. Thus, I'm stumped about why my stack is resetting the BlendLevel values for all of my objects that have a changed BL value. I would assume this is a protocol that happens behind the scenes, and I have not scri...

Re: BlendLevel is Resetting Upon Reopening Stack

Richmond62,

Any luck with a rectangle generated by LiveCode in the version? I'm dragging and dropping an opaque, borderless rectangle. Also, the background color of my stack is black.

Cheers,
Phil E.

Re: BlendLevel is Resetting Upon Reopening Stack

Klaus,

Looks like we're using different versions, then. Yours looks to be newer.

I am not using an RC version. I'll ignore it as a 7.1 bug that has been fixed, and will either update or work around it.

Thanks for checking.

Cheers,
Phil E.
