Re: Closed : Moving the LiveCode GUI to Another Monitor
Well, that may have solved it for the OP. I would like to be able to move the toolbar without moving other things like Notification popups (Running Mavericks).

Re: Frustration and Summer School 2 - 2014
It would be nice, and would improve appearances, if the summer school content and schedule pages were updated. The content page accessed through the login at http://summerschool.livecode.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=85&Itemid=617 has an incorrect title for Lesson 4. Neil explaine...

Re: Frustration and Summer School 2 - 2014
It took me a little hunting to find the Summer School 2 forum. The 2013 Summer School forum (where we are now) is in the Academic Endeavors section; Summer School 2 (2014) is under Private.

Re: MobGUI
Sounds like the perfect opportunity to throw together a little reference stack.I can go with trial and error, but I'm wondering if there is an easy icon-font-graphic selector/browser and I'm just not seeing how to launch it.

Re: Noob Question On Selling iOS Apps
Another noob here...
So it's ok to use a commercial external in a standalone app that might go commercial? Are there rules about credits, etc?

I'm not seeing lesson 8, just 7. (I think that's a typo in your subject for this forum post.)

Re: Database to Data Grid and back again - best methods
Quentin: I went through a similar experience about 9 months ago, trying the reduce the "get data from a database into a datagrid" problem to its simplest and easiest form. I found that the best way (for me anyway) was to try to hide/ignore all the revDBxxx calls. I started with Andre Garzia's DBLib...

Re: Lesson 3 Locked Up
That is where I'm locked up & I've tried clicking the green arrow in the top left, if fact I've tried everything but completely locked up, can't even move the script editor around the screen or close LC. Looks like a restart. It still locks up on me on a fairly regular basis, but I am always able t...

Re: auto destroy on MobGui native iOS controls
Well, I found this bit of information:
The 'Auto destroy on closeCard' option was added in case the app needs to free up resources used by the [control] when the card it was created on is closed. The default action is to hide the [control], meaning it can be used again by simply showing it.

Re: Database to Data Grid and back again - best methods
Thanks Bangkok, As I am coming from filemaker development this is frustrating to me - my app which I am porting to Livecode has been developed with this basic functionality sitting in the background and just a few sections of code to join the dots and add the unique functionality I require and now ...

Re: Help with wildcard '% or %' or...?
Copy & Pasting the command into the message-box is clever, though: would have let me test the query-building command in isolation, before the actual script was fully functional... Copy/paste not required, so it would also help in this instance. As I remember from HyperCard, simply telling LC to "pu...

Re: live webinar issues
And what about the Q&A from yesterday--when will that be held? I had to leave before the scheduled end of the webinar, so don't know if a time was decided. The streaming was finally fixed, mostly, so the Q&A proceeded on schedule. As of right now, it is not uploaded yet, but I'm sure they will get ...

Re: Can't get alt - double click to work
Based on my crashing problem with Project Browser, and the fact that reverting to v6.1.0 so far seems to have fixed it, I am compelled to ask those reporting trouble with alt-double-click: what version of the app are you using?
