Re: Successful test

Export Text to local file Rolf Kocherhans has contributed a HTML standalone that shows how to export UTF8-text from a standalone to a local UTF8-file. This uses javascript to create a download link that contains the (UTF8 text, base64 encoded) file contents. Your browser converts this when download...

Re: Stupid Questions #1

So the most useful plan for all experienced devs is to do daily work in the latest build of the highest version number, and ship with the latest build with a frozen feature set ("Stable"). Sadly this strategy isn't possible if you are using LCB/ create widgets. Here LC 8 has a frozen "experimental"...

Re: FAQ for tha LiveCode raspberryians?

'Weak' means the strength of the signal (sending/receiving). The Raspi Zero is more for screwing together your own computer (use in your personal weather ballon or quadrocopter). Raspi 2B runs very stable, needs little power. I use it, together with a simple webcam, for watching the pets of my young...

Re: FAQ for tha LiveCode raspberryians?

Hi SparkOut. You are not lost, the LC Raspi-bandwagon is still waiting for the drummer, MaxV recently joined to play the violine. The (still unchanged) state is: LC 6.5.1 and 7.0.4 work on Raspi 2/3. You may use another OS (not Raspbian) to have it working. For Raspbian Jessie there is a workaround ...

Re: How to stop widget browser after youtube movie

This solution has nothing to do with LiveCode, is simple HTML only.
Your original question was how to make the widget stop after playing a movie?!

So, good for you, but wasted time for me. I better stop answering such questions ... ;-)

Re: How to stop widget browser after youtube movie

Don't forget that tScript (the javascript) has to be ONE line only, separate commands by "; " instead of CR.

Re: How to stop widget browser after youtube movie

No, usually loading should be a bit in advance of playing ("buffer"), also you can load without playing. You could start with how to pause/start/stop an audio in the browser, in your case the widget, from LiveCode. Then go step by step to your scenario, finally using an event listener (see the stack...

Re: How to stop widget browser after youtube movie

There are javascript solutions to do that, see for example
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/214 ... ne-playing

So you could use one of these and use a javascriptHandler to get informed.

Re: webcam / mic in browser widget

Fortunately, this is meanwhile the same "problem" for all browsers (and thus the browser widget): There is no way to get access without user's permission. So you have to find a cross browser solution (javascript) that matches your needs, for example https://github.com/jhuckaby/webcamjs and then can ...

Re: Rotated text example doesn't work

This is a bug of LCB (linux only), the "orientedText"-widget does also not work correctly on linux.
#20446 (at least related to that bug as it shows the same effect).
