Re: Inserting ad in my app Errors

In regard to your " aren't allowed " I'd say you're right  I learned (from Neil) that the ad thingy doesn't fly with 6.1.x Community. You seem to need 6.0 Commercial. I don't have that and am not getting it, therefor I never saw it work. I mailed with the adcompany behind it, and it took them ...

Re: Noob Question On Selling iOS Apps

Hi AndyCode, by naming Objective-C and Livecode you're pointing out not only opposites but languages pretty much at max distance from eachother. There's a lot in between. Many ways to try to make a buck with apps without spending too much upfront. Javascript is such a language and there are several d...

Re: The chosen folder is not a valid Android SDK....

Don't forget if you try the files of user Simplelife above, to also get the 2.2 Android version with Android tool. Now it seems to work.
I have it in a seperate Android SDK folder, next to my 'other' Android SDK folder that is used by Appcelerator. Why this is happening I don't know. Cheers.

Re: LiveCode vs. Web Dev Tools

I just had to say a few words as well, now that I'm discovering and struggling with Livecode Community in the last few days. First of all thanks to the guy that lead me to the PDF of Vision Mobile, it sure is a very nice read and overview ! Also, the guy mentioning the spammy emails from runrev is r...

Re: Copying Files in Android

Yes it does seem that the Simulator is working with the 'original file' and not the file that should be included in the app. So once again explained, I have a file A on in my Mac users/frank/documents folder. I include that to Copy Files and compile it into an app. In the app I show a filelist of sp...

Re: Copying Files in Android

Simon, no I don't. That's what struck me as weird. It looks like it's imported to the app, but I'm not reading it back from the App ( but from the original location, from where I imported it ). Although I do use specialfolder(engine), which is mobile-only and should point into my app. Anyways I will...

Re: Copying Files in Android

Me neither, Simon :? Thanks for your reply anyways. I am not changing anything in the bundle after it's been created. When I list the specialfolder(engine) folder it does show up and I can read it. But then I alter the filename that was imported, so not in the app but at the location I imported it f...

Re: Copying Files in Android

Ehm, just to double-check some stuff.. because I think I'm messing up things by using 2 X-Code's to be able to render for more simulators (and have used several X-Code's and Livecode's and Simulators in the past) :? So I have made an example where I added a dbase with Copy Files to the App. Like I s...

Re: Copying Files in Android

Hi people,
a noobish question, but how to get a database in the specialfolders(engine) location, like interactbooks mentioned in this post ?
I like to start of with a database-model and some records and then have users expand it for themselves and keep it stored.

Thanks in advance. Regards.

Re: Inserting ad in my app Errors

Okay Klaus, this error in the IDE get fixed by using the if-mobile statement. I call mobileAdRegister with one of the AppID's I generated in InnerActive. Then I do a little checkconnection test to make sure there is a connection with internet. Then I call mobileAdCreate and put the result in a feedb...

Re: source code for royalty-free standalone

Hello all, I'm pretty new to LiveCode, allthough been following things for years here. I am an old Director Lingo programmer, still wanting to build apps for different devices using LiveCode. Forgive me this simple text and question, hoping for some simple answers.. Do I understand this topic ( firs...
