Re: Parental Gate for Apple - Math problem

Hi All, Interesting ideas. I'll offer another one. I've attached a demo stack. But, in short… I'd wrote two handlers that would then be placed in the nine number buttons… one for mouseDown and one for mouseUp. In mouseDown I send the labels of the buttons 3, 6, and 9 to a "results" field… when I fir...

Dave,

I've had the same problem… My novice is showing… I'm not sure how to go about applying the patch you described. Let me claify one thing… I open the plist in a text editor rather than Xcode, right?

Re: Using a group's handles to resize controls within group

Hello Tom and Bernd, I've been playing around with this idea by using a 2009 stack of Bernd's from the LiveCode site. I can't figure out how to add a handle to the bottom left of the group. I've attached my effort. The bottom right handle works, because it's essentially Bernd's… with only chaning th...

Re: Script for Random Number

I'm not totally sure what you're looking for… put this in a button and see if it's at all along the lines you were thinking. on mouseUp local tYourNumberList put empty into tYourNumberList repeat with x = 1 to 100 -- or to whatever number you want put x & "," after tYourNumberList end repeat delete ...

Re: Hilighting Buttons

You could send the user to anther card to show then animation and return to the button card when the animation finishes. Or, the animation could be in a group that is shown on the same card as the buttons. I'd try setting up three or four of the animations in separate cards and in groups to compare ...

Re: Hilighting Buttons

You could do that... but I'm not sure what you're doing when the user activates a button. I usually name my buttons as one word ScanButton1, for example. You can use the same button names on every card, then in the script refer to the ScanButton1 on card "HouseHoldItemsCard" I haven't really ever us...

Re: Hilighting Buttons

Hi Celeste, The suggestion I made to your handler does what I understood to be your question. It's not specifically using the number of the button (which is assigned as they are made and will change if you change the layer). If you use my version of the handler, and hide some buttons, they will be s...

Re: Hilighting Buttons

I'd suggest naming the buttons differently ... naming a button "Button 1" can confuse the engine (and you) when you're moving from one to anther using the cd btn number... You can easily change the button label as needed to communicate what you need to for the user. In my suggested change to your ha...

Re: Seating Chart Creator - Help Me Design My First Program

Richard is way more knowledgeable about coding than I am, but I'd be happy to help, too. I work in a teacher ed program, I've taught middle school and elementary, I supervise student teachers and work with our teacher candidates and teachers to develop (very simple) apps.

I'm not Ender, but you'll have to wait until the Rev folks update to 6.0.2. The UDID error not a result of something you've done wrong.

I like the idea of multiple pics "on a strip", but I also expected the option to take just one.

Yes, I saw myself with the preview.
