Re: mobGUI Browser Control Not Loading

Thanks, Mark. Setting those settings has no discernible effect on the problem. I'll look into using mobileControlCreate as an alternative.

Re: mobGUI Browser Control Not Loading

That's a shame about mobGUI.

There is no code to speak of other than:

Code: Select all

go to card 2
Card 2 would have the browser control from mobGUI. I've attached an image that shows how this control is configured.

mobGUI Browser Control Not Loading

I've got a mobGUI browser control on a card that does a couple of odd things: 1. When I navigate to the card the first time, the control does not appear on the card. If I navigate away from the card and back to it, it shows. 2. I cannot get the control to load a local html file despite importing the...

Re: Creating Widgets

Craig, You encouraged me to continue this way in your first response and, because the whole card/stack metaphor is one I easily wrap my mind around, I have no other reason than it is the path of least resistance. Maybe that is why other new users do the same. In your previous post you mentioned usin...

Re: Creating Widgets

Craig, thanks for the help! I'll build a stack for each widget (there won't be many). I've started by building a simple clock stack that consists of two cards, one that displays the time in a field and the other that allows the user to select the format for the time displayed. I also have a button o...

Creating Widgets

Hello. I'm taking a stab creating a digital signage app in Live Code and could use some general guidance. My first question concerns the best way about building this. I envision an app that allows the user to choose, place on the screen and configure widgets such as clock, weather, tickets, etc. In ...

Livecode for Retina Display

This seems like a pretty basic question and the fact that it has not been brought up here before makes me think that I may have overlooked something obvious. If I'm using Livecode to develop an iPhone App for the iPhone 4 as well as non-Retina iPhones and iPods, what dimensions should my stack be? D...

Re: Buttons for the iPhone iPad

if you set the Hue of the buttons to 200, the saturation to 1 and the Value to something around 60 you get an almost grey image/button. Is it something like this that you are looking for? Aha! I did not notice the color buttons before. So sorry. My thinking behind using grey buttons with a color ov...

Re: Buttons for the iPhone iPad

Hey, yeah! That looks like a handy tool. Thanks for contributing! Here are a couple thoughts:

1. The angle on the lower half of the arrow looks a pixel or two off.
2. It'd be great if the images were monochrome and then an option for color overlays was available.
