Is the "play" command supported on Android? What if you use mobilePlaySoundOnChannel instead?
Oh right, good catch. I didn't notice that. Play is supported on mobile but only for a very few formats. I've always used a player control and that works fine.

Re: Group Script to Manipulate Child Controls

The childControlIDs returns the short ID of each control so technically the repeat loop should reference "field ID" rather than the number. I'm surprised it worked when referring to the number but I guess LC is more forgiving than I thought. The name of the function gives a clue as to how to referen...

Re: Problem with Android Standalone Application

Another way is to disable the image, then taps will go through to the card. Did you copy the whole sound folder into the Copy Files pane of the standalone settings? If so then the file path is correct. Wav files are supported on Android devices if they have the correct format. Supported formats are ...

Re: Creating a Graphic via a Plugin

If the object is not in a group, try this:

Code: Select all

put the owner of the selectedobject into tCard
set the name of tCard to "newName"
If it is in a group you'd need "the owner of the owner".

Re: BUG

My father used to make humerous hand-drawn greeting cards with a logo on the back: "A Halltree card, for those who can't afford the very best."

You might need to be American to understand. Or maybe you just need to be old.

Re: Dploy an app with splash stack and other main stacks

I think Thierry is on the right track. You cannot save any files in the app directory, that folder is not writable. You need to copy the stacks to the document folder and use them from there. But I think it would be easier to just save a preferences stack or text file to specialfolderpath(" document...

Re: player looping problem

An audio guy told me once that mp3 files are impossible to loop, there is always a break at the end. I don't know what file format you use, or which one would work, but if you're using mp3 the problem is innate to the file format.

Re: New Video - Elon Musk Baby Name Generator

I don't think the name itself is a reason for name shaming, it has more to do with the nature of the child. When I was 8 years old I went through a period where I was taunted, with one child chanting at me "jack-o-lantern lemon" until I dissolved in tears and ran home. I doubt children that age know...

Re: StackOnly: How to start as standalone without card

Alternately, save the script as a normal stack and make the stack invisible. Or position the stack offscreen with its bottomRight at - 100,-100.

Re: [SOLVED] Message box

Good question. The property inspector is a good place to start since those are all permanent. In some cases the dictionary will point out that a particular property needs to be scripted, sometimes only by inference. Fullscreenmode, for example, suggests where in the script to place the instruction. ...

Re: [SOLVED] Message box

Trying to learn more about the message box tonight. Is it primarily for testing purposes? Or, if I enter something like set the fullscreen mode of this stack to "exactFit" , is the property now changed if I save the stack. Or, like I wrote first, is this just for testing and I need to manually ente...
