Re: customize sound push notification

The user can set this up but apps will always use the default sound otherwise. The user can also turn off sounds, or even turn off the app's notifications completely. The app doesn't have any control over those things.

Re: Gadget pane

so I'm at a loss to conceive of an input that can be passed to it that isn't already plain text. It works because when you get a text chunk, in this case a single character, no styling instructions ride along with it. Craig could have easily gone word by word or line by line. Since the clipboardDat...

Re: Gadget pane

Or, off the top of my head,

Code: Select all

set the clipboardData["styledText"] to empty

I believe that was Mark Weider, who's very good at that sort of thing. His puns are enough to make you go "ewww" and he comes up with some hilarious replies on the list.

Re: Screen Issue

Those commands have been mostly replaced by the fullscreenmode command, and they are mostly used only on mobile devices, so you can successfully omit them during development. Are you just dragging the stack to the second monitor? If so, try closing it and reopening it on the second monitor. LC shoul...

Re: CreateProcess failed:The system cannot find the path specified

I'm running out of ideas. Could you post a screenshot of the standalone settings Android pane? Maybe I'll see something there.

Re: CreateProcess failed:The system cannot find the path specified

If you have more than one copy of Java installed, LC or the OS may be using the wrong one regardless of the standalone settings. Someone else had the same problem and resolved it by deleting all other copies of Java.

Re: tabKey o exitField

Since exitfield is always sent when leaving the field by either mouse or tab, I'd just validate on exitfield only. Is there some reason it needs to be done in tab also?

Re: Mobile scrolling?

I have two basic scroller scripts that I reuse. One is a library, which you can insert with "start using" or you can just paste the handlers into your mainstack somewhere in the message path. The second script is a behavior, which you can paste into a button and then set the scrolling object to use ...

What is the JDK path in standalone settings? Is it the same as the one you installed?

Re: Mobile scrolling?

At this point, I'm beginning to think that LC might be best used for desktop applications. While it's true that mobile development takes a bit more work, LC is fine for that and in fact, almost all of my work in the last couple of years has been apps for mobile. The new widgets help a lot. The Andr...

Did you also install the latest Build Tools? Those are required.

If you search the forums here for "could not encode class bundle" you'll find more info as well.

Aha. So it was me being stupid. :) Don't feel bad, it's a subtle thing and you weren't the first to get caught.

Sorry, I only mentioned it because the other person didn't know it had happened and it was the only thing I could think of. I've probably been here too long.

Did the device's mute button get accidentally pressed? That happened to someone else here once.
