Extracting specific data from a card field

I wasn't sure where to post this query; hopefully this is the spot. I need help in determining a method for extracting specific text from a card field. I take it it is more flexible to do this than to try and extract items (words) directly from a text file (i.e. read from file). Each word (item) in ...

Thank you! I look forward to using this. I especially like the ability to start entering characters in the search field and have it update almost instantaneously.

Re: Player Object Problem When App Wrapped for Mac Store

Thanks for posting the link to the summary of your "journey"; it's especially interesting to read how you arrived at a compromise which allows your app to fully function with a minimum of user inconvenience. It's also good to hear that your experience in working with Apple software testers was large...

"answer folder" anomalies

Mac 10.11.5 and LC 8.01: answer folder "Please choose a folder" presents a dialog with the option of choosing a folder, but does not show the string "Please choose a folder" anywhere. Have tried the as sheet option, but no difference. Seems to work as expected in Windows 7 and 10, so is there perhap...

Telephone and Other Functions on Android

I have been using LC and RunRev for years, and I was initially excited about the prospect of leveraging my admittedly limited knowledge of LC scripting for mobile use. Here we are in 2015, but I regret that just about anything I've needed that is, well, phone-specific (it IS after all a cell phone!)...

Re: Stolen apps, be careful!

However, the Symbian OS was an example of an operating system that had an elaborate licensing system in place. In theory it was a good idea, but in practice it just punished legitimate users, who, for example, might want to switch phones without having to contact the developer for a new certificate.

Re: How to turn on the Flash light led?

While I would be thrilled if LC did support varied phone-specific functions, I get the impression that the company is first trying to provide a subset of functions which are applicable to both desktop and phone operating systems. To that end, I suppose the inclusion of the ability to run HTML5 funct...

Can LC answer a call?

Google has recently made it more difficult for 3rd party apps to answer and end calls, and I wondered if any of LC's functions are involved in the telephony area of Android devices.

Re: 'Importing' a data file into a Mobile app

@MaxV, to be honest, I am confused a bit by the organization of the Android file system, the "emulated" shadow file system, etc. I probably should read up on it myself before I go making any further suggestions. That said.... some links: http://android.stackexchange.com/questions/39542/confused-by-t...
