Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

Ok, but how would that be accomplished with a graphic object/drawing object vs. an image object? Basically, like on the sample stack, its just a round graphic object.

Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

Its been a few months since I posted this original question. I haven't seen any updates or developments on the bug report so I'm guessing this is not a priority or there's no workable solution? I can't believe I'm the only one in the world that sees this as a major flaw in LC? Is there no way to fix...

Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

I added a comment to an existing bug report I found. Maybe that will help.

.....

The team should see this, if only to confirm that this is the expected behavior of the "move' command.

Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

Can you post the stack, or a test stack that shows the same behavior? Craig See attached. It's not pretty but it demonstrates what I'm seeing when I move objects. Adjusting the speed produces an even greater effect. Maybe I'm missing something huge. I appreciate all the help. I just can't believe I...

Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

If you add the graphic effect "drop shadow" or "outer glow" to the circle vector graphic, then the clipping effect is not visible anymore. Please try adding these effects and post your results. Could you try this with Older LC versions too? LC 9.0 and 8.1.10 show this bug in my own setup. Al There ...

Maybe this picture will explain more than words. I just took a picture with my phone of the object moving on my screen.

Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

Hi I would suggest it's the driver. If it works on some machines and not others. ...... Lagi Wish that was the fix but unfortunately that doesn't do a thing. I updated to the latest greatest drivers but experienced no improvement. My system is an HP laptop running an Intel 5200 chipset. Slowing mov...

Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

Pretty clunky "over here" on 64-bit Linux (LC 9.0.1), and a sort of flashing effect at the leading edge. distort.livecode.zip Yep. That's what I see. Flashing effect on the leading edge is a better description than what I wrote. Setting the 'lowResolutionTimers to true' didn't change anything nor d...

Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

Craig. Thank you for your reply. Yes, it distorts along the path. No change with the lock/unlock commands. I should say, this is not just on my computer or environment. I've tested on numerous machines..some do it and some do not. Macs not as profound as PC's. The faster the movement, the more profo...

Re: distorted graphics when using move or set loc

Sorry for the lack of details. I'm referring to grc or img objects. Both perform the same. I've also taken your script exactly as you wrote it, and placed within a new stack, and I get the same results. The edge of the graphic that is in the direction of the movement (ie the right side of the grc) f...

distorted graphics when using move or set loc

I asked a question to the forum a few years ago and never found a solution. I'm wondering if there's any new advice.. Basically, I'm moving a graphic from one side of the screen to another via a repeat loop until a stop command is issued to the repeat. If the graphic is moving very slowly it looks o...

Re: Pan Left and Right Audio Revisited

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know there was a pan feature available for MAC now. Thats great! So.....on PC/Windows builds, is there a way to do it using a browser object and Javascript? If so, maybe a basic example or code recommendation/guide? I read somewhere that java could manipulate the au...

Pan Left and Right Audio Revisited

I'm wondering if there are any nice and easy ways to gain more control over the output of an audio file? I'm trying to write a little app that will allow for panning audio to the left or right, similar to something like Audacity but way more basic and simple.

Re: Distorted Graphics when moving

I tried that but see no improvements...maybe even worse. Perhaps its an issue with my system:
HP Laptop running Windows 8
8gb ram
Intel i5 CPU
Intel HD Video Graphics 5500 Chipset
