Re: Expired licence

Re: Expired licence

Just to defuse any odd myths about licensed versions of LiveCode "reverting" to the Community version
once their licence expires I would like to point out that the version of LiveCode asks for a new licence and will not work without one.

Re: What is the best DE for using Livecode with Ubuntu 18.04?

I use XFCE ; and have done now for 14 years. XFCE and LiveCode work pretty well seamlessly together. HOWEVER: I have had the odd bit of trouble using plain Ubuntu with XFCE "bunged on top", so always opt to install Xubuntu (i.e. Ubuntu with XFCE built-in by people who know about these things far bet...

Wow: for almost the first time in my life a stack worked without lots of fiddling around.

I changed the wait period to 10 seconds as 30 was too long.

Re: Can't Close Splash Stack on Stand Alone

Let's start all over again . . . IFF I were to make something with a splash stack I'd make sure the splash stack were a substack of my mainStack . . . let's call our splash stack "SPLASH" (for want of any spontaneous, mad bursts of original static). If my main stack were called "MAINST" (Yes, well q...

Re: Wireframes Tool Recommendation

Actually, in spite of my "kinkyness" re LEGO and other table toys, the vast majority of my prototyping is actually done directly in LiveCode as it lends itself to this in a marvellous way. For me, at least, I can go from a really crude prototype all the way to a polished product inside LiveCode. How...

Re: Multi Threadedness ?

Cripes LCMark , when do you get time to practise the piano? - Here's a set of songs by Thomas Arne (the chap who gave that fat slob, Handel and his live-in boyfriend Jimmy Quinn, a run for their money) sung by a Russian devochka: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jb5WvIzC_eA "And what, pray tell," tho...

Re: Another way of assessing LiveCode

In Richmond's case A fairly serious case, well, at least according to my psychiatrist. 8) I don't know if it were thee, Mark, or someone else who implemented 'proper' Unicode via the transition from numToChar to numToCodePoint , but, despite all my initial cursing, thanks to the very good offices o...
