Re: Tool change shortcut

HOWEVER:

Code: Select all

on mouseUp TRI
   if TRI = 3 then
      put "gottit"
      end if
end mouseUp
works perfectly.

Re: Tool change shortcut

On my iMac (10.7.5) when I click on
a stack containing this code with my
right mouse button:

Code: Select all

on rawKeyUp RUP
   put RUP
end rawKeyUp
I get NOTHING.

with this:

Code: Select all

on rawKeyUp RUP
   set the backGroundColor to red
end rawKeyUp
Nothing happens either.

I have always thought
In the back of my mind
Cheese and onions

I have always thought
That the world was unkind
Cheese and onions

Do I have to spell it out?

Oh, no

Re: Tool change shortcut

Um . . . that could cause problems. How about modifying it a bit: on rawKeyUp tKey if tKey = 65473 then if the tool = "browse tool" then choose "pointer tool" else choose "browse tool" end if else pass rawKeyUp end if end rawKeyUp I believe that without pass rawKeyUp you won't get any reactions from...

Re: Seriously no sound on linux ?

to build educational programs for children - almost impossible without sound I don't know why, I have been authoring software for my EFL school for 12 years for machines that run Linux with no sound at all: they do exactly what they are meant to do; reinforce what I have been teaching the children ...

Re: Seriously no sound on linux ?

On Ubuntu 17.10 64-bit and MX Linux 32-bit exactly as you described.

The Unvarnished Fact is that sound and video are useless on Linux

and the LiveCode people don't seem to think it is worth addressing.

Choices with the scriptEditor

Please could the drop-down menu for script colourisation offer the
same choice of colours that is offered by the background drop-down
menu as well as the current ones.

Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

Of course it is a this point where we need to ask
about alternative text colouration (say, white).

Re: A darker Background editor ! Or more colors to the existing one.

I wouldn't go near any of those "things" above, I'd just go to the Preferences:

Your settings should be kept for other versions of LiveCode.

Re: For which operating system do you need RunRev?

I own a G4 iMac, and about 3 years ago I installed Lubuntu PPC on it on the theory that that would somehow be better than the Mac OS 10.4.11 that was running on it. This was a huge mistake as everything became glacially slow. Thinking "Oh, well, maybe that's just Lubuntu PPC." I tried 3 other PPC Li...

Re: For which operating system do you need RunRev?

The code you'd be working with is GPL.
Really?

The particular problem is that I programming languages
I currently know are LiveCode and BBC BASIC:
neither of which . . .

Re: For which operating system do you need RunRev?

Absolutely hilarious.

The initial impetus still has to come from LiveCode central.

Re: For which operating system do you need RunRev?

stepping outside the box Yes, well, I have been offered 25 "boxes", meaning G5 PPC iMacs with 17" displays, for $10 (mean 7 Euros for ffffff sake!) a pop, which I would love to pass on to loads of kids I know who have hard-working parents who just do not have the large amounts of ready cash to set ...

Re: For which operating system do you need RunRev?

Mark Weider stated I'm sure the vast majority of rev developers couldn't care less about the obsolete operating systems in 2010. Is that still his opinion? While he may not see the value of developing on "other" systems he may admit the value of being able to deploy standalones to other systems. I h...
