Re: LiveCode Marketing Suggestions

I went to a boarding school for boys (hated it) and the place was such a happy establishment that the Headmaster saw fit to expel about 10 boys a year (10 from 300). Boys only get themselves into situations where they will b expelled when they want 'out'. This headmaster ran the school like a model ...

Re: Is livecode dead?

You will find that there is a school of thought "round these parts" that, while LiveCode has gained a lot, a lot of rath...

Aha: so there is to be a physical manifestation of these things.

This makes understanding the things and where they come from even more complex.

Re: What is the best DE for using Livecode with Ubuntu 18.04?

I suspect that the situation with Linux is like almost every situation in life: there is more than one variable. HOWEVER, I can state quite categorically that with the following set ups I have never had anything but a rock-solid experience with LiveCode: Xubuntu 9.04 - 18.04 MX Linux 16.1 - 17.1 ele...

Re: Expired licence

Re: Expired licence

Just to defuse any odd myths about licensed versions of LiveCode "reverting" to the Community version
once their licence expires I would like to point out that the version of LiveCode asks for a new licence and will not work without one.

Re: What is the best DE for using Livecode with Ubuntu 18.04?

I use XFCE ; and have done now for 14 years. XFCE and LiveCode work pretty well seamlessly together. HOWEVER: I have had the odd bit of trouble using plain Ubuntu with XFCE "bunged on top", so always opt to install Xubuntu (i.e. Ubuntu with XFCE built-in by people who know about these things far bet...

Wow: for almost the first time in my life a stack worked without lots of fiddling around.
