Re: Is mobGUI still supported?

I too have come to the same conclusion. I posted a question on the mobgui forum on the 11th July, but have had no reply. Take a look at tmControls from Scott Rossi, not looked in too much detail but he responds very quickly to questions. This is one more thing pushing me in the direction of Javascri...

Re: Is MobGui the only way of developing Mobile Applications

I had the following reply when I talked to Scott Rossi about tmControls You can get more info here: http://tmtools.tactilemedia.com/tmcontrol/index.html See the FAQ: http://tmtools.tactilemedia.com/tmcontrol/faq.html If you're up for watching a few videos (they're a bit out of date, but still have u...

Is MobGui the only way of developing Mobile Applications?

Hi I'm looking at options for mobile development using Livecode, it looks like MobGui seems to be the prefered way to go. I've noticed that the current version V0.28 has not been updated since 2011 and also that there were some postings here about people having problems contacting the author John Cr...

Idea's for VLC support - A replacement for Quicktime

I'm aware of the limitations of using Quicktime with Livecode, I'm also a very happy user of VLC media player http://www.videolan.org/ Until recently the core VLC engine was licensed as GPL so it could not be included in commercial applications, this has now changed to an LGPL licence see http://www...

Re: Image Manipulation

Hi Chris,

Just downloaded this application, to see what could be done with Livecode, very impressed.

Just a few things

1. Under Tools - Original Size is spelt incorrectly
2. All the options in the help menu are greyed out
3. Is there any form of zoom facility

Cheers

What are the advantages of ON-Rev

Hi, I'm new to LC and even newer to the Server technologies, RR recently posted an offer for Lifetime hosting at On-Rev for $499 which they have extended to the 31st July. I already have a licence for LC and LC server. I would like to develop server side applications in the future, specifically on-l...

Re: Win32 won't associate lrev nor 'livecode with LiveCode.exe

Hi Barry, I had exactly the same problem and assumed it was my windows setup, seeing your problem makes me think the installer for Livecode V4.6.2 is broken. I hacked the registry to make it work, But I definitely think this should be reported to RunRev as a bug. Are you familiar with the windows re...

Re: Web Demo

No expert with this but you might want to look at Revigniter http://revigniter.com/

Its an area I'm interested in so It would be good to hear how you get on.

Bangkonk may be able to shed some light on this, I'm not sure how the debugging environment works when you are not using on.rev as a host?

Re: Playing MPEG Video

What would be really great would be if LC could somehow interface with VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ to use that as its video engine. It is multi-platform and does not come with all the baggage of QT, but not sure how the licencing would work as its GPL. These pages look interesting, and might gi...

Re: Totally New and wondering what to buy ?

I'm by no means an expert but will answer what I can, here are your questions which I've numbered to make it easier for me and others to answer. 1. Am I right in thinking that Live Code lets you create an App in its own environment - then cross compiles into the native code for the required device, ...

Re: Deployment to WEB

It Also does not work with Chrome.

I agree the team at RenRev need to look at this as it limits the use of RevWeb
