Re: Accessing Contacts (AddressBook) & Calendar
Yet another addressbook / contacts...? There are literally dozens of those available in the market. I have asked the LiveCode development the question if functionality accessing Android (& other mobile) internals would soon become available. I have looked into XDA developers pages, and looks like th...

DataGrids
Would like to start communication with developers who have worked with DataGrids, especially planning to target iOS, Win 7 or other mobile platforms.

Elegant way of finding text
I have found a way to get extracted text with a beginning word and ending word, and was thinking would there be a direct function to make it in a more elegant way. Instead of finding, parsing foundChunk and using char selection. Also what I found was that finding in a variable would not always work,...

Re: BACKGROUND OBJECTS AND SCRIPTS
I am getting there. Now it looks like one should group every field and button and image, and set the backgroundBehavior true for those, to really clone the card and have the scripts for objects backgroundwise rather than for each card. In HC it used to be easier, you could just click an object to be...

Re: BACKGROUND OBJECTS AND SCRIPTS
OK. Let's go through it again. 1. I design a card, with these movement buttons, group them with backgroundBehavior true, write in scripts, add the fields what I want etc. This is my master card, and expect to populate my stack with tens of these cards. 2. When I want to add a new card, which looks j...

Re: BACKGROUND OBJECTS AND SCRIPTS
Thank you - I grouped the objects, and set the backgrouongBehavior true for the group. Now, as I have this group (consisting of the necessary next, previous, home and return to card visited) on the master, which I copy and paste to get the new card, these cardwise buttons get copied to the new card....

BACKGROUND OBJECTS AND SCRIPTS
The objective is to make a small database of cards. Adding new member is simply copying the master card and pasting it, then inserting the data, either using kb or from a file. Now, the master card contains buttons, fields and images, which then get copied to the pasted card. Having created 100 new ...
