Making images move across screen and reappear on other side?

First of all, I need to know if by importing images into LiveCode they automatically become objects or if I need to make them that way. The main thing I want to know how to do, though, and the subject of this post, is to have a background image move across the screen and reappear on the other side. ...

Re: What GIF creation software do you use for sprites?

Does the fact that it'll be an iOS game affect the necessity of conserving CPU power? I'm not sure about the extent to which CPU capabilities differ between computers and smartphones.

What GIF creation software do you use for sprites?

This is all assuming that GIFs can be used as sprites, so correct me if I'm wrong on that. These are the ones I've tried so far: 1. Microsoft GIF Animator - it wasn't able to handle transparency; it just showed up as black. Or so I gleaned, anyway. 2. Beneton Movie GIF - when I tried to download it,...

iPhone/iPod touch window size?

How do I resize the window so that it will be displayed correctly, when finished, on an iPhone or iPod touch screen with no need of scaling? I actually don't even know what the dimensions, pixel-wise, of such a screen are.

Re: How to add Japanese text?

Hi, Where do you get the Japanese text from? Do you have the Japanese language pack installed (on Mac it is called something like Asian Language Support and you have to install it from your OSX installation disk). You can add images in several way. For example, copy an image and paste it into LiveC...

Re: Welcome to the getting started with Revolution Media for

Hey... Today's my first day on the forums. I'm a complete beginner to LiveCode... where can I get some tutorials on how to program with an eye toward games, as in for iOS? All I've found upon looking to an extent that I consider high but that might seem laughable to someone with real experie...

How to add Japanese text?

I want to create an iOS game that is able to be played in English and Japanese (and possibly another language or two, but that's beside the point of this post). Whenever I've tried to type in Japanese or paste Japanese text into anything displayed to the user, the characters (the kana as well as the...
