Re: How do I know a file is a package?

There are many common package types with different suffixes, including app, bundle, pkg, vst, component, plugin, cfm, ape, colorPicker and others which are found in many different locations. Some extensible applications muddy the waters further by inventing names for their bundles, such as sugar or ...

But, there is the stack runner in case you have written something you want to be able to share on the desktop. This lets someone run your saved stack on their computer.

Re: revlet div position inquiry

This hints at a variety of known problems with css dropdowns and <object> in some browsers but I've got something that may dampen hope that it can be isolated to a bug in the Windows plugin. The problem can show intermittently in Opera 10.10 on OS X as shown in the screenshot. From time to time, wit...

Re: revlet div position inquiry

It also displays correctly in Opera 10.10, with the menu dropping down over the revlet. However, on my machine, my newsreader, which uses WebKit for html display and iCab a WebKit based browser for OS X, the menu is displayed over the revlet as you want but the navbar wraps, due to font-size prefere...

Re: Getting RunRev to 'see' fonts in non-standard places.

If you're including the font with your install, would it not serve to use revFontLoad? That should allow you to place the font in your application directory and load it from there. It also appears as if you could use this command in a script to load all the fonts within any directory.

Re: Validate a field content if it is a date

Hi. Altuit has a very nice date picker here:

http://www.altuit.com/webs/altuit2/RunRev/Downloads.htm

Look for altAnswerDate at the bottom of the page. It's very easy to insert and much more aesthetically neutral than the other ones I've seen.

Re: SMTP

In the interest of thoroughness, in case somebody else searches this topic and finds this thread... Chipp Walters at Altuit has made a very easy to use stack using Sean Shao's library. You can find it on this page, along with lots of other potentially useful and helpful things: http://www.altuit.com...

Re: Check Box

Daniel, if you copy + pasted his snippet, you may have to correct the spelling of "true" in

"if the hilite of btn i of grp "Check4Print" of cd 1 = treu then"

I have some habitual typing dyslexia myself where I get all the letters but in the wrong order "filed" = "field" etc... *sigh*

Re: Trouble accessing videos from RunRev Resource Center

I don't know about a Windows codec conflict (Rachel says she's using Windows 7, elswhere), but since Bernd has brought it up, I thought it might be worth mentioning that the conflict between Ensharpen and Perian that had caused a lot of headscratching for OS X users seems to have been resolved. I cu...

Hi greggarcia, As far as I know, every Valentina user always needs to have a license, not just developers who make software. Therefore, I don't think this is an option, if you would like to include all database server software with your application and don't want to incur an additional financial bu...
