Map widget
Can the map widget work on the windows platform? It doesn't state that it is anywhere except for the "Inclusions" section of the standalone options, where it lists every platform next to it. If it truly is not an option, what might I replace it with? Also, is an internet connection required to use i...

Re: Accessing grouped objects from card behavior script
I'm not really sure what "fixed" it, as I scrapped it and restarted the IDE. Either one of those actions may have been responsible. I know I should have tried each one individually, but I got hasty! My reason for meddling with "edit group" was really just for laziness. I set the font to bold for the...

Re: Accessing grouped objects from card behavior script
I originally had some text sizing code in that handler but removed it for testing, Hence the "start editing group". I've removed that and tried your suggestion of "me", and all of the stuff from my previous post. Same error. I finally just scrapped it and started over. Of course it works just fine n...

Accessing grouped objects from card behavior script
Hi all, I'm trying to remove some text in some grouped text fields, from a script located in the cards behavior script (I'm using the Levure framework). Sample code: on openCard local i = 0 start editing group "grpIcons" of card "preferences" of stack "main_window" -- Clear preferences repeat while ...

Re: Returning to LiveCode
Thanks for all the info. I agree, the new dictionary has some good and bad. I'm certainly going to have to figure out how to kill the lovely autocomplete in the search box. In the meantime, I'll check out some of the links that were provided.

Re: Returning to LiveCode
Thanks!
I noticed the dictionary has had a major upgrade as well, although it seems the "comments" are missing. Some of those comments were really helpful, if I remember correctly. Were they incorporated into the entries by chance?

Returning to LiveCode
Hello! I'm returning to LiveCode after a few year hiatus. I'm really loving some of the changes/updates made in the last few years. I was wondering if some of my old favorite add-ons were still viable. Tools like: NativeGeometry, TmControls, PowerDebug.... Are any of these still alive and/or relevan...

Re: LiveCode vs. The Web
Using this latter approach it so easy that many of us have rolled ad hoc systems in a few hours for specific projects, and one of these - Magic Carpet - has been sold as a commercial solution for this and is currently in the process of being revised as a FOSS release. Any update on this? Magic Carp...
