Re: “Coding Nine LiveCode Games” by Scott McDonald?

I am rarely on here, and sent an email reply to Richard which may have gone astray? (Didn't hear back.) Anyways, the livecode source is in the public domain and the eBook is now licensed under Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). You can get them from: http://zone.livecodehosting.com/download/...

Re: LiveCode Game Jam

I agree that using a website like itch.io is better than having a special LiveCode Game Jam Site/Page, because using an existing game dev community increases the exposure of LiveCode to general game makers and programmers. About multiple categories or genres, while I like the idea of separate catego...

Hi Sefro,

There is a typo in the word "Very" on the top line of the banner. Thank you for organising this.

Re: LiveCode Game Jam

Hi Sefro, That sounds like a great idea. I would expect to take part. (Assuming I can find the time during the specific week/weekend, which can be difficult to predict in advance.) What would you I to see from an LiveCode based game jam? Good question. I don't have any pre-conceived notions or ideas...

Online Multi-player Game written in LiveCode needs players

This is written in LiveCode Server as an experiment in converting a single player game based on a stack, into a game hosted on a remote Linux server running LiveCode Server with HTML used for the interface in any web browser. Added a MySQL table and voilà, multiplayer. The idea is to login once a da...

Re: New eBook: Coding Nine LiveCode Games

Thanks njt.

I plan to write more LiveCode related books and the PDF format for this first one is bit of an experiment. While I can't promise to always use such a flexible format, if this sells well enough then I could use it again. Have fun with the games.

Cheers,
Scott.

Spider Hunt: 3D Raycasting Demo

I have been learning about 3D raycasting and finding out what is possible using 100% LiveCode code, i.e. no externals. Spider Hunt is my first demo, where you in a small building infested with overgrown spiders. Your goal is to kill all the spiders with a can of bug spray and to find the exit point....

[ANN] New LiveCode Developer Social Networking Site

LiveCodeGameDev.net is now live! After starting LiveCodeGameDeveloper I realised that there is a need for a social/community website for LiveCode Developers. Well, it now exists at LiveCodeGameDev.net. Despite the name, it is not restricted to making games with LiveCode. If you are a LiveCode progra...

[ANN] LiveCode Game Developer Blog

Wanting to let people know that the LiveCode Game Developer Blog is now up.

You can find it at:

http://livecodegamedeveloper.com/

Hope you like it.

Quick question, it doesn't have a RSS button. Does anyone use a RSS Reader and think it is important to have a RSS link?

Cheers,
Scott
