Re: Datagrid content disappeared? Help please.

@Simon a bit surprised as i hadn’t realized you were in a thread I had started. I haven’t revisited this issue since my last post. But to answer your question, no I was only reading in image data for each row displayed. The row template being very plain and the only image switching was to do with se...

Re: User Interface Question

Have you looked in the dictionary at the following terms:
tabGroupBehavior, focus
And of course the entries ‘related’ to these terms.

You might find your answer there.

Re: No new customProperties?

Well the beauty of the current documentation is that it includes all the stuff in earlier versions and clearly states if an item was introduced later (i.e. version 2, 4, 7, 8 or 9) As for the PDF version of the user guide. Again I am on a Mac and don't know what Linux users have at their disposal, b...

Re: No new customProperties?

Ah, opportunity for shameless plug. There is a linux reader (Zeal) for the Dash formatted documentation sets. http://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=29745&start=15 The discussion here points you to a way of creating your own, or accessing the docset I upload. Mark Wieder shared how he got t...

Re: No new customProperties?

Not wanting to rain on anyone’s parad but all this talk of the ealier versions of the docs being more complete seems to ignore the LiveCode Guide. This is available via the guide tab in the dictionary or as a complete pdf compilation if you select “user guide” via the help menu. In any case this dis...

Re: Compare two lists (comparing fontName before/after)

Make your own.
Make docset stack on livecodeshare.
Otherwise the current docset sits in the user contributions website.
Getting it to load is a bit od a wiggle though i think.
Mark worked out how, detailed here http://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=29745

Re: Compare two lists (comparing fontName before/after)

How does this compare to Lovelydocs https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... lovelydocs which can read the Dash Docset you can create (or download)for Livecode?
I ask as i don’t have a ‘droid device.

Re: Compare two lists (comparing fontName before/after)

Intrigued by mention of RevFonLoad not being in the dictionary i thought i would check Brian’s online version. nope, no mention. So i checked my Dash version (I am on my iPad away from my iMac). Nope, no mention. Went to github and searched the codebase. Found this snippet from a release note. RevFo...

Re: FMaker - a folder maker stack

Updated FMaker again: Decided to use the mv shell command to move the files into folders. The revCopyFile command was fine for small files but larger ones tended to take a while to copy. mv seems to take the same time regardless of file size, even over network drives. So the shell command being used...

Re: Dash docset creator for LiveCode

The Livecode Dash Docset has been updated to version 1.5 and has been compiled from the LC 9.0.0 rc1 documentation. The "Make Docset" stack on LivecodeShare has been updated to version 2.6 (modified version algorithm to catch fully the LC 9 series.) http://livecodeshare.runrev.com/stack/845/Make-Doc...

Re: Simple Parse and Replace

Not only what Brian said but you only have a single $ at the start, not muliple. Perhaps " \$%[a-Z]+%\$ " note there is a space before the first \$ and one after the second (this tells the opening one from the trailing one, depending on how you want to use the match.) Using the merge idea, and repla...

Re: SQLite Images and Standalone Issues

Re the movie thumbs etc - I meant to download new ones to repopulate your new dB.
But as you have stated there are other images of things that may not be on the web, then decoding that blasted bit of clever but obtuse encoding seems the way to go.

Re: SQLite Images and Standalone Issues

If the images are all video related thumbnails then perhaps it would be easier to pull them from the web rather than try to decipher another’s algorithm.
