Re: LiveCode 1.6.1 docset now available.

The make docset stack is on livecode share. I wasn’t aware of a link to download a docset other than via Dash or equivalent, hence the “make docset” stack. If you check out the link to the forum thread I posted earlier it gives more detail on the stack and also how the docset looks in different read...

Re: LiveCode 1.6.1 docset now available.

Well a stack with a browser to display the html files. A button to show the guides, a button to link to the docset (not sure what is required here for an Android app.) A search field to search the sqlite db and a result field to show the results of the search. Click on an item in the result field an...

Re: LiveCode 1.6.1 docset now available.

Compiling your own would not be that difficult, given your mobile experience. The Dash docset is simply a package. All the docs are html files. One for each guide (with an index.html file only for them) and the rest are for each entry in the dictionary. There is also an SQlite db file which indexes ...

Re: LiveCode 1.6.1 docset now available.

Ah, I can’t help you there as I do not have an android device. On the Mac and iOS you go to the prefs or settings and check out the docset/downloads tab. There is a “user contributions” section where the Livecode docset resides. You can also just double click on a docset in finder and it will load i...

LiveCode 1.6.1 docset now available.

The "LiveCode 1.6.1" documentation set for Dash and Dash compatible is now available via the normal update mechanism for user contributed docsets.

This version was compiled from the 9.01rc2 release of Livecode and includes all the guides for the widgets.

Re: Dash docset creator for LiveCode

With the release of 9.01 the "Guides" section of the dictionary now includes guide for the widgets. These guides come from documentation within the widget folder (within the Extensions folder of the LC package.) I have now added the code to the "Make Docset" stack on LiveCodeShare to generate the ap...

Re: Non sorted tree view display

I now realise that the issue I was trying to solve is an inherent part of arrays as implemented in LC. It appears that for any key in an array, if another dimension is added to that key, the value of that key becomes an array thus losing whatever non array value it had. Thus when you add a sub level...

Re: Non sorted tree view display

Thanks for that Bernd. I will go through the session.
The thought of having the tree display the array elements and not the keys has got me thinking.
But first I need to understand the current widget more.

Re: Non sorted tree view display

I am beginning to think the slide was a fudge. Perhaps I need to go through the presentation to see if there is a clue.

Non sorted tree view display

I have been looking at the Tree-View widget as a possible way of displaying a table of contents. Initially I couldn't see how this was possible as whenever I played around with the widget and entered a sub element into the tree, the data of the parent node would disappear. I then realised that the w...

Only mention of Fraser and Canada was an appearance at a user group years ago.

Where did Fraser go?
I believe Canada was mentioned in a post on the use-livecode list.

Re: PDF search

As Richard said, ePub is a renamed zip archive. The archive consists of xml, html, xhtml files with a few others depending on the nature of the book. There are no pages as such as the content needs to flow to fit the screen size of the reader. So searching an epub requires you to unzip the package a...

Re: How to edit Row Behavior of a Data Grid in LC 9.0.0

In LC9 it is labelled “edit script” and sits above the “edit template...” button. If you open the dictionary in LC and then click on the GUIDE tab, you will see a list of guides. The “Livecode Data Grid” can be found in the intermediate section. It has been rewritten for LC 8/9 and so has the new Pr...
