Re: How to get started with ... everything?

You could also log in to your account at LiveCode.com and look down the left hand list at the “Learning” category. I have a “Widget Course” listed there. It is not too bad, although there are a couple of ‘bugs’. Read the comments for each lesson.

Re: Installing SQLYoga

Check out “dgData” in the dictionary.

Also, if using the current stable release of LC click on the “Guide” tab when you open the dictionary and have a look through the guide to the Data Grid, it is in the intermediate section.

Re: Dash docset creator for LiveCode

Sorry about that. Only working with Dash it self I don’t know what limitations exist on the non Mac platforms.
I see there was an interesting and long discussion of this issue on the Zeal repository.
Perhaps you might follow it better than I.

Re: FMaker - a folder maker stack

Updated FMaker to use "revCopyFile" rather than <URL "binfile..."> when moving files to newly created folder. This means the files do not need to be read into memory to be moved. This speeds up the process considerably, especially if you are moving large files, or the files reside on a network drive.

Re: Dash docset creator for LiveCode

I wish I knew. Reading on the Dash website, the developers for other platforms are required to work with the Dash developer to ensure compatibility. Given one of the major selling points was the ability to access the user contributions I am perplexed as to why ‘lovelydocs’ can’t. You might need to w...

Re: Dash docset creator for LiveCode

Is that because it is the free version.i noticed they have a pro version but apart from allowing more docsets I do not know what it offers. I haven’t found the develop’s website to clarify. If it can’t access the user contribution site it is a real bummer as there are a lot of them... https://github...

Re: Dash docset creator for LiveCode

I am intrigued. Does not lovelydocs allow you to download docsets from the “user contribution” site?
The reason I ask is that they have they the latest available docset (lc9dp10).

Re: Dash docset creator for LiveCode

I did read user comments about ‘lovelydocs’ that Said there were some issues. I did submit the created docset to the “user contributions” site and it is available from there. I only have a Mac/iOS setup so for me I see the LiveCode docset when I check the “user contributions “ from, within, the apps s...

Re: Dash docset creator for LiveCode

Just thought I would add some screenshots of Dash for iOS (which is free, by the way) for those wanting to read the docs on their ipads and iphones. 1. Docsets I have added showing, LiveCode selected so you see the guides. iPad-choose your docs.jpg 2. the Data Grid guide. Note the dictionary categor...

Re: The board changed?

I got a digest too today, I'm glad to see it back. Does yours wrap correctly? I read it on my tablet and there is no line wrap, so every paragraph runs off the side of the screen. Today’s digest was fine (as was yesterday’s). :D I had changed my settings to a simpler html and all appeared nicely wr...

Re: The board changed?

I received mine this am which is what alerted me to the change.
It was sent by the “LiveCode forum robot” and was clearly a new format.

No. That’s why I asked.
Perhaps Heather or someone will make an announcement.
