Re: Realm persistent local database library

Part of the long delayed “Infinite LiveCode” crowd funding project was the funded stretch goal to package the SQLite library using LCB and provide a complete tutorial on doing so. This could have then been used as a basis for any of us to do what you suggest. I am certainly not holding my breathe :?

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

ok, V5 is now up. On first opening it should take you to a setup page. If not there is an icon to click on (gears) that will take you there. On this page you can set the size of the stack. In particular if building a standalone for mobile, you can set up the rough size. This is important if you want...

Re: #Bash help requested

I have a finder extension that will run them.
I currently use automator apps (as services) or applets from another app, but Mojave is getting in the way a bit.
To someone who knows bash they would take less time than it took me to write the post whereas for me it would take hours.

#Bash help requested

I am hoping some Bash gurus out there could offer a hand. I would like bash scripts to do the following tasks. Note, the input to all these commands will be either 1 or more directory items (files or folders) and so I am assuming we will use "$@" as the input given I do not know in advance what the ...

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

Oh I am not complaining. Just trying to get a handle on how much a concern this should be.
It will be addressed :D

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

@bogs, would it be fair to describe your setup/use as an edge case then?

Re: Datagrid problem

@klaus
There can also be problems if you copy/paste a datagrid in the same stack!
Indeed there can. Making DGH even handier :D

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

@bogs don't know if you've ever seen that setup before (pretty sure you have), but it puts up a pick of the different layouts on one screen, with a way to select the layout you want to choose (buttons work, or even the image itself). Then, the layout type is saved and referenced, and can be changed ...

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

@jacque, the browser question was to extend the browser over the button bar that sits beneath it when it was not at the top of the page. This would make it 44px longer. I thought this would make landscape on a phone show significantly more of the page. The extra mobile requirements will have to wait...

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

Sorry for the delay in updating the stack. Have a few other commitments to attend to. Of course having the b*#@ger crash on me didn’t help. I needed to talk myself back into opening it again. I think I was angry with it (go figure.) I am currently playing with getting the resizing right depending on...

Re: Datagrid problem

Datagrids are more than you see on the screen. Each datagrid you place on your card/stack brings with it a template substack. Simply copying a DG from one stack to another will not copy the required templates that were installed with your original DG instance. So, either do as has been suggested and...

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

@jacque 42! So the “Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything” was determined by a mobile interface, and Android, no less. I am not sure how Marvin would feel about this. I, for one, am becoming quite depressed. I can just hear the smirks of smug satisfaction comi...

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

@bwmilby, gosh I completely forgot about laptops. In a way they are so far behind mobile platforms. In this case I firmly had a suggested size for mobile in mind but when finished it will take its environment fully into account. :D Thanks for testing though (and yes, please don't use this as a DASH ...

Re: Docset Reader now on LiveCode Share

Thanks @bogs.
Still a rough cut.
Transitions still to have visual effect, resizing to tablet (well whatever the screen offers), auto orientation, saving prefs to name just a few.
But I think were getting there.
