Re: What are you working on?

Interesting Bankok... that you are building a barcode reader for android . So how do you make the reader? There is no LiveCode barcode reader for Android available even though I requested one almost two years ago  First : use a dedicated terminal (android "smartphone" with a barcode reader, in...

Re: What are you working on?

I work : -app on a barcode reader android terminal to do reception (of goods) linked to Odoo (version 10) and linked to a windows desktop app (to validate the receptions and print labels on Dymo printers) With the Android app, the operator "counts", can compare with the quantities ordered, and scan ...

Re: Error on insert into

You should use the more straightforward syntax, instead of placeholders. It will ease the debugging by allowing you to "see" exactly what is the query. put "INSERT INTO tb_godute (fld_data, fld_ore, fld_causale) VALUES ('"&miadata&"','"&ore&"','"&causale&"')" into sqlInsert answer sqlInsert revExecu...

Re: Query error

Sorry, I didn't see it. Ok the error message doesn't make sense (there is no "?" in your query). The textDecode (that takes binary data in input) function might be"degrading" the error message, contained in tData. You need to separate the 2 operations, to remove any interference. put "SELECT f.finca...

Re: Query error

Do you have a :

Code: Select all

global gDatabaseID
in your script ?

And what is the error ?

Does tData starts with "revdberr" ?

Re: Damn pop up keyboard

The behavior depends on the setting of traversalOn. The workaround is to set the traversalOn of the field to false on preOpenCard and set it back to true after the card is drawn. You mean : on preOpenCard set the traversalOn of fld "test" to false end preOpenCard on openCard set the traversalOn of ...

Need an Android "intent"

I have a Zebra TC20, which is an Android 7 terminal with an integrated barcode scanner. https://www.zebra.com/us/en/products/mobile-computers/handheld/tc20.html I need to use an Android "intent" system in order for my Android App to received the data scanned, without using the regular way (keyboard ...

Re: Report : New device with barcode scanner

There is a thread that mentioned one trick but not a complete solution. Whether it still applies with current versions of Android and/or LC i don't know. Yes I 'm facing the same issue since long time (Android 5.1) and other devices. I thought that with LC 9, Android 7 and a new device it would be ...

Re: Report : New device with barcode scanner

Have a look at rawKeyDown in the dictionary see if that works better in your case. Alas... no chance. Same results than with KeyDown. The conendrum remains : the barcode scanner emulates the android keyboard... the android keyboard appears when the user focuses on a field (native or LC), therefore ...

Report : New device with barcode scanner

I bought a Zebra TC20 (version without keyboard), with Android 7. https://www.zebra.com/us/en/products/mobile-computers/handheld/tc20.html LC 9.01 is running fine on it (no black screen issues). This device has an integrated barcode scanner. Works very well. Like other Android devices with such scan...

Re: Printing delivery note

I will also be left with the theme of barcode labels and control of stoks with a code bar reader. What do you mean by that ? Printing barcode is very straightforward. -use code39 or code 128 font for instance -apply this font to a Livecode field, and voilà. If you want to go further : there is a li...

it is better to have the printing cards in the same stack or in a subStack.
If you're on Windows, do not forget the "formatforprinting" issue.

http://livecode.wikia.com/wiki/FormatForPrinting

So for that matter, it's better to put all your printing stuff in a sub-stack.

Can you post a link to your test apk.
I have an older device with 5.1 on and can test to see if I see the same results.
Here it is.

Re: FTP delete

What about tsNetSendCmd or tsNetSendCmdSync ? (tsNet library with Indy Edition, it works on Android) from the dictionary : local tResult, tCmds put "CWD /upload_dir" into tCmds put cr & "DELE backup.dat" after tCmds put tsNetSendCmd("1", "ftp://user:pass@ftp.example.com", tCmds, "transferComplete") ...
