Re: Queries Stopped Working

could you : -export (SQL format) the structure and the data of this weird table -and post it here, on the forum, so we can have a look ? You wrote that by changing the name of this table, it was back to normal, no ? Furthermore : now you speak about the way you dealt with the content of this table (...

and even UPC

(quick search)

Free. Easy to use (put your text in a field, and voilà, you get your barcode).

Many commercial fonts are available as well.

Re: API or remote database?

I have a scraper that gets new data daily from my source and packages that data in an API.With that API, I have been able to parse the JSON and load the data to a SQLite database in the mobile app whenever the user fires up the app. However, it is slower than I would like. I use JSONtoARRAY and the...

Re: Having SQL COUNT query problems

Dictionnary is your friend.

Code: Select all

revExecuteSQL
is for INSERT, UPDATE queries etc.

Code: Select all

revDataFromQuery
, that's the way to go for a simple SELECT

Code: Select all

revQueryDatabase
is for "cursor" (you probably don't need it, at least at the beginning).

Re: revExecuteSQL failure

One for your 16 fields probably contains a "forbidden" character. Like for instance : -single quote -double quote -tabulation I would say a single quote. Because it's used as a column delimiter in SQL. **************** http://www.sqlite.org/lang_expr.html A string constant is formed by enclosing the...

Re: Lost Connection to MySQL DB Thru Livecode

-your DB is hosted on the cloud -its size is huge (20 GB) -large queries or small, do not work with Livecode... connection is lost after 1 mn -but those queries seem to be okay with any other SQL clients -meanwhile, you're running around with transactions, multiples databaseConnect in a loop, stored...

Russian characters are visible on the server side. But they do not render on the client side.
Before to do your select, try to execute this query :

Code: Select all

   revExecuteSQL gConnectionID, "SET NAMES 'utf8'"

Re: Livecode still way too slow....

I for one are glad that I have a perpetual license of the last v5, v5.5.5 ;) The IDE is much faster than later revisions, resulting apps too. And smaller. Same here : i keep using 5.5.3. Over and over again. Should I feel ashamed ? Windows 8, Windows 10 even on super hardware... Livecode 8....

Re: TSNet and SMTP : attachment file doesn't show up [SOLVED

I have a good news.

Charles (the creator of TSNet) was kind enough to do several tests with me.

Eventually, he found the cause of the problem. It was an issue with MIME format that affects some email client.

Updated stack :

TSNet and SMTP : attachment file doesn't show up [SOLVED]

I use the stack "LCMail 1.1" (with LiveCode 8.1.1 Indy on Windows 8.1) provided by Charles Warwick, without any modification. https://www.mail-archive.com/use-livecode@lists.runrev.com/msg78527.html I use a SMTP server "plain" on port 587. It works perfectly well... However the attachment (a PDF fil...

Re: LC 8.1.1 Indy and Community 8.1.2 rc 1 standalone issue

sounds like you have a problem with "inclusions".

you should check your "standalone application settings".

question : for which OS you build your app' ?

other question : why you don't use the new JSON library :

Code: Select all

put JsonImport(pJson) into myArray
?

It might interest you.
