Re: Release 10.0.0 DP-1 and HTML5 URL Stuff (broken ?)
Agreed, the URL stuff doesn't work when calling for files on the same domain. I Just watched the Web Camp webinar and it was advised that we post problems/questions about Web(Formerly HTML5) issues in this forum. So.... 1) Will grab objects ever work in browsers in IOS etc? 2) Will we still be able ...

Re: annoying keyboard pops up
The LiveCode 10.0.0 DP-1 that was just released STILL has this bug in IOS Safari. Hopefully this will be addressed because it's a deal breaker to have to dismiss the keyboard after every touch on every object

Re: Transfer to/ from html5 standalone and text file
L P B,
Thanks for the info.
The LiveCode user guide says:
"Two important unsupported features are unlikely to be added in the near future:
operations that need to pause the script while something happens (e.g. wait 10 )
externals (including revdb)"
Isn't tsNetPost part of an external?
Thanks for the info.

Re: Transfer to/ from html5 standalone and text file
I just started a new thread before I saw your just posted response in this thread. See: https://forums.livecode.com/viewtopic.php?f=120&t=33981
If you can share about the PHP or .lc, we would all be thankful!

Re: ios keyboard popping up
Since this is such a critical problem and hasn’t been fixed, I sometimes wonder if it’s fixable? Maybe Livecode HTML5 is dead-ended here?

Re: ios keyboard popping up
This issue is the subject of a bug report that is confirmed. https://quality.livecode.com/show_bug.cgi?id=21053 Panos wrote in the bug report: "I am not sure if we officially support mobile browsers for html5 standalones." I wrote back: On this LiveCode page "https://livecode.com/products/html5-edit...

Re: ios keyboard popping up
Go look at the sales web page for the html5 license. https://livecode.com/products/html5-edition/ The huge picture near the top of the page is of a phone running an HTML5 app. The picture is larger than the screen on my iPad. Doesn’t that indicate that livecode HTML5 is advertised and meant to run o...

Re: ios keyboard popping up
This issue, the keyboard popping up after touching any control in an HTML5 app is an absolute deal breaker. Any potential user will abandon the app in seconds. It's very irritating(to be kind) because the livecode web page describing its HTML5 edition says" "Extend Your Reach The biggest reason for ...

Re: ios keyboard popping up
When I contributed($500) to the HTML5 funding campaign I was expecting Mobile usage. In the "What can I do with it?" section of the funding page it said "As long as the platform can run an HTML5 capable browser, you can deliver your app to it." From the funding page: "When will the final version be ...

Re: ios keyboard popping up
The app works reasonably well on my iPad with tons of things going on and hundreds of controls. The "focus on nothing" in mouseUp works for btns but not cards or groups or other controls. Hopefully it can be fixed soon because the app does work on Mobile(iPad) except for this! I was hoping some java...

ios keyboard popping up
Anyone know a js trick to stop the built in ios keyboard from popping up no matter what control one touches? Of course we want this behavior for text input flds but not everything! My fairly complex HTML5 app works acceptably well(sorta) except for this problem.

html5 app with built in mail capabilities
Assuming we get full networking soon, I want to build an app that can send mail to his/her teacher after a student completes some work. I think the new tsNetSmtpSync function will do it but how to test it seems like quite a task. Write the code, save as html5 app, upload to server, test, get error(s...

Re: LiveCode & paint in LCHTML5
I also wonder when HTML5 will run faster AND be able to use remote databases and have other networking capabilities.
It has been 2.5 years since the funding drive for HTML5 and we still don't have a usable platform. Also, we have had little communication as to the progress and the future of HTML5.

Re: Not working as expected?
But LiveCode is not a government, it's a business which specifically raised money for HTML5 development. It's just very disappointing and I wish Kevin would at least give us an update on the progress on HTML5. Within the past 6 months or so there was a mention in one of the LiveCode releases(or in a...
