Spider Diagram Widget
Hi Folks,
I'm writing an app in LiveCode that requires an 8 point spider diagram. Before I go ahead and implement one, does anyone know if anyone in the community has already developed one?
Cheers,
Ben

Re: Setting some properties not working
Hey Trevor, We have fixes to all those items but they've not been merged yet. Not everyone has moved forward from SVN yet.. that will happen in the over the next 2-3 working days. The widget building was replaced with the "extension builder" which should show up in the plugin list. Warm regards, Ben

Re: Setting some properties not working
Hey Trevor, There is an error being thrown when setting properties that you're not getting. The message box is chewing the error. We're updating this for the next build. Also, the IDE has now been moved from SVN to the submodule in Git. If you checkout develop you'll get the IDE we're working on so ...

Re: Widget handling
Hi Wizard, There is a beginners guide in the new documentation stack: 1) From the menubar select "dictionary" 2) At the top you'll notice two tabs, "API" and "Guides" - Select "Guides" 3) The browser object will take a moment to load 4) In the top left corner of the guides page you'll see a pulldown...

Re: Extension Syntax Options
Hi Netdzynr, Thanks for your post and making it a new thread. As you say, it's good to discuss each issue separately. At the moment you are correct, the syntax for if/the/else if/else/return is fixed to the if ... then # do something end if We do intend to extend out what forms of "if" the compiler ...

Re: Regex
Just as a followup, our intention is to wrap the pcre library once the foreign code interface is mature enough. There are a variety of other features we'll implement by wrapping libraries which are waiting on that FFI feature.

Re: Regex
Hi Trevor, Yes, at the moment there is no regex support in LiveCode builder. This is certainly something we'll be adding. In the mean time, your execute script method is a work around. We discovered that arrays are not being passed between LCS and LCB currently in alpha 2. Mark has applied a fix tho...

Re: Getting Up To Speed A Little Quicker?
Hey Scott, 1) Installed widget are placed in you "My LiveCode/extensions/" folder which by default is in your documents folder. We're working on a way to make it easy to test install extensions locally so you don't have to deliver everything through the store while developing. 2) Yes, any property y...

Re: Defining syntax
Hi Trevor, Unfortunately not. That is what we'll be doing in version "9" with extensible syntax. At the moment all syntax in LCB is built into the compiler. I put "9" in quotes because that's what we are terming it internally. It's just an extension of what we're doing in 8.0.. It doesn't mean it's ...

Re: Extensions Script Editing
Hi Richard, We'll integrate LiveCode Building scripting into the IDE at some point in the future, but for now we'll continue to rely on external editors. It's an early technology that will continue evolving for some time. We'll be improving the plugin to make the development experience smoother in t...

Re: Extensions Store
Hi Mikey, 1) We had an issue with our server yesterday/start of today. We think it was now been resolved. However, we are aware of a few cases for optimisation which the web team will be implementing over the coming weeks. 2) We'll look into this. 3) I'll discuss this with the team and see if we can...
