Numtochar does always return what is asked for.
Put Chartonum(numtochar(10)) —> 10
Yes, this still works, although it (numtochar/chartonum) has been deprecated since version 7!

Re: Datagrid loc field dynamically

"of this card" or "of me"? I don't think you can have both.
But since this is the datagrid behavior script, I would propose "of me".

However the fields are part of the datagrids "grouped grouped groups", so I doubt this will work at all.

Re: what is long name of the field of script editor ?

Bonjour Jean-Marc, this is that name on my machine: field "Script" of group "Editor" of card "Main" of stack "revNewScriptEditor 1" of stack "/Applications/Livecode/LiveCode Indy 8.1.9.app/Contents/Tools/Toolset/palettes/script editor/revscripteditor.8.rev" Find out what it is on your machine: Enter...

Hi HAnil,

maybe you are looking for the "flip" command?

Re: UrlEncode and ArrayEncode

Hi Trevix, use "base64encode" instead of "urlencode"! "ArrayEncode" produces BINARY data and "urlencode" will corrupt it, "base64encode" does not. Works: on mouseUp put "me" into tArrayData["one"] put "me you" into tArrayData["two"] put arrayEncode(tArrayData) into tArrayData put base64encode(tArray...

Re: carriage return

Hi Ken,

ah, sorry, my fault.
Using a CR does not work, too?

Code: Select all

<?lc
put "Hello World!" & CR & the date && the time
?>

Re: carriage return

Hi Ken,

the server outputs HTML, so this should do:

Code: Select all

<?lc
put "Hello World!" & "</br>" & the date && the time
?>

Re: Not declaring Local Variables and script works ! why declaring them then ?

Hola teriibi, when in the script editor, check menu " Edit ", if the last entry " Variable checking " is checked, then you MUST declare local variables or you will get a compilation error. If not checked, no declaring neccessary. You have to decide for yourself, if you really need this. :D Best Klaus

One thing seems obvious, Translating LC is refering to anything else but its scripting code. Very few IDE offer a "translated" code for scripting (and LC Script Editor is not ready for that at all.)
oops, sorry, looks like I completely overlooked this one.

Re: Multi-Lingual LiveCode?

Please do not translate the scripting language! Never! Believe it or not, in early 90s, the german version of Microsoft EXCEL came with a translated VBA, yes to GERMAN!, and although I had no idea of programming (but of english) at that time, I could see that this was not something one would use, it...

This picker is available in these widgets:
Navigation Bar
SVG Icon
Header Bar
Segmented control

Sorry, maybe I was mistaken, I meant:

This is really not a "Navbar" issue, but an issue with the SVG image picker window (stack?)!

Re: Why am I seeing this?

What version of LC are you using?
Please always note the version!

On my Mac with LC 8.1.9 and LC 9 dp11 ther IS in fact a scrollbar, but that is really hard to see and use! I will check if there is already bug report/enhancement request about this.
