Re: Datagrid column width "Drag to resize" doesn't work?

Bonsoir Michel,

works as exspected here, but you need to be in BROWSE mode for this, if that is what you mean.

Re: No Learning Center?

I was afraid of this. I really and only was referring to the meaning of the word "obvious", if you can see or not see something, then it is obvious. :D

That's all, have a nice day.

Re: Data imported seems different in Datagrid and through Text tab.

Hi Terii, 1. welcome to the forum! 2. I would trust the datagrid! :D Are we sure that the "Content" field in the inspector for the datagrid is really set up correctly with all possible TAB stops? I don't think so, so you are lucky with the first couple of lines/TABs aligning nicely but "Kris Merrier...

Re: No Learning Center?

Mr. Bogs, ... Perhaps "Unfortunately, ..." or "Currently", or something along those lines, eh? nope, I don't see why!? The last posting in this thread is more than 10 years old. I said that somethig may have changed a bit in Livecode. I said everything concerning examples and learning LC is now in t...

Re: No Learning Center?

Hi guduvisic,

well after more than 10 (TEN) years, the format of the livecode application has changed quite a BIT! 8)
You find everything about examples and learning in the HELP menu.

Obviously the "Learning center" is not available anymore.

Re: unicode (utf-8) over socket

Hi Ioannis,

I mean the scripts where you write and receive (and put itno fields) data via the socket.

General hint:
In cases like this one you should use this little function to save a lot of typing:

Code: Select all

function q tString
return QUOTE & tString & QUOTE
end q
Get the picture?

Re: unicode (utf-8) over socket

Hi Ioannis, try with urlencode and HTMLtext before sending over the socket like this. Field "f1" contains the greek text: on mouseUp set itemdel to ";" put urlencode(the htmltext of item 2 of line 2 of fld "f1") into tData set the htmltext of fld "f2" to urldecode(tData) end mouseup This way you sen...

Re: unicode (utf-8) over socket

Hi Ioannis, ouch, lots of bad things! 1. Do NOT and NEVER name your LC objects with a number! -> field "1" The engine does not differ between numbers and strings in that case and think you will mean the field with LAYER 1 (first field on the card) which may be different from its actual layer! I used...

It seems that the iPhoneX portraitUpsideDown screen orientation does not work in the simulator. For all other devices it does work
Did you read Panos reply above?
If the device itself does not support this, why should its simulator do? 8)

Re: problem to generate standalone app for iOS

Hi Berrnd,

welcome to the forum! :D

Unfortunately LC does not yet support Xcode 9.1! So you need to:
a. download and use an earlier version of Xcode or
b. wait for the next version of LC that will support Xcode 9.1, won't take very long I think.

Re: How to put multiple images in the same row of a datagrid form

Hi Monty, I've yet to understand "[Image URL]", but enlightenment will come in time. :D this is just a name for this key in the array. Could also be like this, which makes it clearer: ... put imgFol & "monkey.jpg" into theDataA[x][" keyname_holding_path_to_image_file_on_disk_1 "] put imgFol & "money...
