I could not find the data stored by specialFolderPath("cache") on my phone. Do you know where it is saved?
Sorry, no idea! Just add a button and check it by yourself on the device:
...
answer specialfolderpath("cache")
...

Re: Saving data on Android

Hi DolphinTech, But is the data stored into specialFolderPath("cache") not persistent? it is, but that folder is not being backed up by iTunes, if that is important for you. And can data stored into "documents" be edited easily by others? Everyone who has access to the device may be able to edit the...

Re: database works fine in Livecode, not in Android

Was hier bei Dir passiert ist, ist Folgendes: ... put specialFolderPath("documents") & "/MHDManager.sqlite" into dateiPfad put revOpenDatabase("sqlite", dateiPfad, , , , ) into dbid ... Zu dem Zeitpunkt war die Datei MHDManager.sqlite nicht am angegebenen Ort vorhanden, also hat LC mit dem Befehl ->...

Re: Saving data on Android

Hi DolphinTech, arrays are binary data, so use the arrayEncode/arrayDecode to save and retrieve array data in text format: ... put 10 into stats["highscore"] ## Store array in TXT format: put arrayEncode(stats) into url("file:" & specialFolderPath("documents") & "/highscore") ... ## Read into variab...

Re: database works fine in Livecode, not in Android

Hi Manuel, please post all relevant scripts and/or pathnames that you are using. Do you copy that database file from specialfolderpath("resources") to the Docs folder, when the app starts for the first time? Maybe this is just a typo, but this should read e.g.: ## specialFolderPath("Documents")/Data...

Save the stack and uncheck "Suppress Messages" again. This way, no...

Works fine here. Are you selecting the xCode file in the applications folder?
xCode 9.2
High Sierra 10.13.2
LC 8.1.9 rc1

Re: Playing sound files on Linux

Bonjour Félix, some more hints: 1. Check "the result" after the PLAY command ... play "oops.wav" if the result <> EMPTY then anser "Error:" && the result end if ... This may give us a hint what is going wrong. 2. Do only use UNCOMPRESSED WAV and AIF files! LC does not like compressed sounds UNLESS i...

Re: In which cases "colorchanged" message is sent

Hi Richard,

it is not in the dictionary of LC 9 dp 11, but also not in the dictionary of LC 5.02.
I wonder how many other undocumented gems might be in LC?

Re: Back and next buttons - the browser

OK, I know a LOT about LC since I started with Metacard in 1999, but I do not know EVERYTHING about LC, especially when it comes to mobile stuff, since I don't even own any mobile device.

Yes, no cell-phone, that's me! :D
