Oh come on, if you aren't able to spell just copy/paste it! :(

How did you do that?
Probably the same way as you do/did:
1. Create a stack
2. Import a JPG image
3. Import a transparent PNG image
4. That's it

Re: How to place a transparent PNG image over card image?

Hi John,
it simply refuses to accept two images on the same card. Or am I missing something here?
you MUST be missing something here, I do this all the time, no problems!?
See screenshot, transparent PNG with dropshadow over a JPEG...

Re: Arrow key bug in Livecode

It is a global property, as I wrote, best put it into your "openstack" handler.

Re: Adding text to an image

Hi Simon, add an empty text field in the lower left corner of your image and then group the image and the field, so you can export a snaphot from that group easily. Put the long date into fld "the one over the image", or ASK the user to enter some text and put that into the field. Continue with #3, ...

Re: Standalone with SQLite and Mac

Hm, everything looks good, except the fact that we do not see any error in the second dialog!?
I'm out of ideas in the moment...

If you like you can send me the stack and the DB file and I will take a look: klaus AT major-k.de

Re: Standalone with SQLite and Mac

Do you get an error? If yes, what does it say? And please try this: ... if gDBID is not an integer then answer question "Error - Unable to connect to the database:" && CR & gDBID end if ... What does the dialog say? So the db file is already present in your Docs folder, right? Then please also try: ...

Re: Standalone with SQLite and Mac

No# 3 is the way to go, been doing this for years! Do you get any errors? Please check the result of the DB connection: ... if gDBID is not an integer then answer question "Error - Unable to connect to the database:" && CR & gDBID end if ... And see what the dialog says. Another idea; There are in f...

Re: Standalone with SQLite and Mac

Hi Carles, 1. In this case these lines: ... put specialFolderPath("documents") into tDBPath put "/Lloguers.db" after tDBPath put revOpenDatabase("sqlite", tDBPath, , , , ) into gDBID ... will create a new and EMPTY database file in the Docs folder! 2. In this case the db file will be in -> specialfo...

Re: How to change current stack

Hi Craig,
Klaus' suggestion always put the stack of interest in front, but that does not always jibe with what the user is intended to see.
this is so true, I also recommend the explicit card and stack referencing in cases like this one!

Re: How to store an array in

Hi Zax, yep, "the styledtext of fld xyz" not only seems to be, but in fact IS an ARRAY, that's why I was asking if this was mandatory. Just create a node for each card with "number", "title" and "fieldcontent" (and/or whatever you need to save) and just store -> the htmltext of fld "your field here"...

Re: Understanding the timescale property

Hi Rand, sorry for being a bit late for the party... I am just a user of LC and have no knowledge about the "innerds" of LC. But I think "the timescale of player xyz" is only something that the underlying multimedia-system returns and we and LC do not have any influence on that. Since there are prob...
