Re: clipboardData[] and copy not working

Heh, well.. MATE doesn't even have a panel applet for the clipboard either. I'm used to like KDE and XFCE having one, but seems not on this one.

Re: clipboardData[] and copy not working

@wsamples: This is recent install of Ubuntu MATE here and I didn't install any clipboard manager. I can't seem to find one either in the menus. I know some distros by default chuck one in there, but can't seem to find one on this distro. I'll check the panel applets to see if there's one in there. T...

Re: clipboardData[] and copy not working

@ghettocottage: It hasn't affected anything else for me. @SparkOut: Heya! Yeah, it's been a while, but I don't do a whole lot of coding these days. Still working on converting many of my Window's codes over to Linux. Every once in a while I hit a little bump like this clipboard issue here. @FourthWo...

Re: clipboardData[] and copy not working

clipboardData[] and copy not working

I am unable to set the clipboard via clipboarddata and copy. LiveCode: Community Edition 7.0.5 Build 10034 Distro: Ubuntu MATE 15.04 64bit Desktop: Mate 1.8.2 CPU: 1.86 Dual Core Mem: 4Gig set the clipboardData["text"] to "Meep!" Just won't work for some reason. This used to work, I'm working on a p...

Re: Every project gets mouse set to hand :-(

Appreciate the help and replies but decided to drop Linux and go back to Windows. I was finding that issues like this were cropping up too much for me not only with LiveCode but with another programming language. Also couldn't find a distro to properly handle dual monitors without some sort of quirk...

Re: Every project gets mouse set to hand :-(

I should also note that this is on a recent clean OS install and LiveCode. The install was from the download and not the .deb provided by another user.

Re: Every project gets mouse set to hand :-(

No. Only started messing with adding code to set the cursor to arrow because of the cursor issue. Is there anywhere I can check for that? BTW, as a side note, I broke out my old Rev 2.6.1 and tried that. No cursor issue there... Not that this would be helpful, but just had to do it for my own sanity...

Re: Every project gets mouse set to hand :-(

This problem still persists and it carries over to the standalone programs. Setting the cursor to arrow does nothing at all and I get different cursors all over the place, i beam, hand, the cursor for selecting objects and moving them, all of them except the arrow and regardless if I add code to the...

Re: Every project gets mouse set to hand :-(

This is a slight annoyance. Seems that this randomly occurs where the cursor is changed to hand and stays that way for a while. This seems to only happen while working on the project in the IDE.

Re: on focusOut - not working?

thank you Mark.

I did read the dictionary on this and exitfield and closefield. It confused me and I did not realize that the edit field was not able to use the focusout.

Thanks again, :-)

on focusOut - not working?

Couldn't get on focusOut to work in a project so I started a new project with two edit fields and applied a on focusOut sub to one of them and tabbed in and out of each of them and nothing.

Is there a property I need to set for this to work?

Thanks,
~Garrett

Re: Creating Livecode .DEB package

Ok, I added livecode.desktop file, that add icons, file associations ( livecode and rev ), and start menu buttons. After installing the new package, you should see Livecode in menu. If you don't see it, try to log out and log in . As usal packages are on http://www.maxvessi.net/livecode/linux/ Many...

Re: Creating Livecode .DEB package

BTW, if it hasn't already been mentioned, if you remove the ".x86" from the name of the LiveCode install file your system will likely execute the file. I found on just about every Ubuntu based distribution that I've recently tried that I could not execute the LiveCode installer, even after setting a...

Re: Creating Livecode .DEB package

Meaning your main menu where you go to launch other programs, the menu where you see "Accessories, Graphics, Office, System, Preferences" etc. You will now find(if it didn't exists already) a new menu catagory likely titled "Programming"(possibly Development) where you will find a menu entry for Liv...
