Re: Livecode 9.0.1 Community for Windows IDE stuttering

@bogs: Sorry, didn't mean at all to criticise your advice - of course this is helpful and I appreciate that, really! What I wrote was more addressed to the people experiencing the same problems, to tell everybody: We shouldn't accept to go on with some workarounds any longer - we need to be able to ...

Re: Livecode 9.0.1 Community for Windows IDE stuttering

I did a complete reset and I switched off most of the autocomplete and live-error-stuff - and I avoided the Project Browser(what if you need it?) - and the speed improved... at first. But after half an hour of working I got into this slow-motion state again. The project isn't even big - two stacks a...

Re: Livecode 9.0.1 Community for Windows IDE stuttering

Hello, I've had the same problem for quite some time, but with version 9.01 (Indy, STABLE) it has become even worse. On start LiveCode is running fine, but after a few minutes of using it, it begins to stutter increasingly. Sometimes it can take up to 30 seconds before I can press a button, edit som...

Sending a PDF to printer

Hello, I am developing a project for a small company where one of the tasks is to print out a PDF document that is part of the program. That means: The PDF is there and can be viewd in the browser widget, it only has to be sent to a printer. Is there a way to do this without launching the PDF in an ...

Re: New approach for offline viewing PDF inside Android brow

Hi MaxV,

not bad. Do you have any example source code (JavaScript files) you could share?

If this approach is working generally it can solve a lot of problems.

Re: Free simple tool for creating keystore file

I'll have another look at the tool. Maybe the regkey I am using to locate the keytool.exe isn't working for your version. Thank you for the report - so I can fix the problem. Und wenn schon auf Deutsch, dann... Schau gerne mal bei livecode-blog.de rein! :-) Viele Grüße - und ein gutes Neues Jahr! Kr...

Re: Free simple tool for creating keystore file

It's working fine for me and for some others who reported using it.

If it is creating a 0-byte-file, it means the app hasn't found the keytool.exe - are you sure you have installed the Android SDK (and the JDK) properly?

Re: Why does "Record sound file path" not work under Live Co

Panos, could you give us a hint if the implementation of sound recording on Windows will be available soon? I'm selling a multimedia program that is relying on recording options - and since many of my users refuse to use Quicktime now, they are waiting for an update. Or would you know any workaround...

New approach for offline viewing PDF inside Android browser

There has been some discussion about viewing PDFs inside an app on Android. If you want to include any PDF view inside your LiveCode app on Windows, Mac or iOS, you can simply use a web browser and set the path to the PDF to it. Very simple, working nicely. If you want to do the same on Android, thi...

Free simple tool for creating keystore file

Hello everybody, I just built a little tool that might be helpful for beginners - but it can also save time for advanced developers deploying their apps on Android. "Keymaker" does what its name says: It creates a valid keystore file you need to sign your LiveCode-app with if you want to distribute ...
