Re: Standalone Application - Inordinately Large Filesize
As much as I like LC7 - I'm sticking to LC 6.7 for now. EXE is only about 2.8MB I await to see what the livecode team will come up with. Hopefully an option to reduce file size by selecting components required or even reduce the size of the compiled exe. I also just checked out autoit - and wow extr...

Re: Standalone Application - Inordinately Large Filesize
I second that - file size for LC7 is too large.
Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to trim that fat.
Have you tried using the new "CEF" explorer now were really talking EXTREME file size,

Re: Standalones just become huge and slow
Stay away from Livecode 7 - Unless you have a need for Unicode OR until they IMPROVE
the speed, bugs and size of the executable.
Sorry, don't mean to be negative I just think LC7 needs more time for the developers to
improve on it.

Re: Ugly Bug - Livecode 7.0 dp7
I think I might try the 6.7 - Really NOT happy with the size of the compiled exe (Windows) in 7.0
9MB before I even add and buttons, scripts or objects is just too big.

Re: Ugly Bug - Livecode 7.0 dp7
Hi all,
I also noticed that when compiling an exe (Windows) with Livecode 6.5.2 the size of a one button
livecode application is 2.78MB. When compiling with Livecode 6.7 dp7 it is a whopping 9.08MB.
Is this going to be standard or is something wrong?

Re: Welcome to the rIDE forum!
Hi Mats,
There seems to be a lot of bugs using Livecode 6.6.2 and upwards.
Will there be a rIDE to work with these new releases.

Re: rIDE 2.0
Hi Mats,
Just tested 2.3.2 - Sorry, when I use the Isolate feature the STACK now disappears.
"Tools" button - when hovered says "Message Box"
Also the double click on object problems still exist. Is this a fault with your IDE? (Please read above)

Re: rIDE 2.0
Hi Mats, Just to show you how much I use your IDE, I have found another "BUT" When right clicking on an object in your IDE and selecting the Isolate (Great feature by the way) the Livecode "Tool" menu disappears. At first I thought nothing of it, but now I realized that I might need to add a button ...

Re: rIDE 2.0
Hi Mats, Another idea, Not sure if you are interested. But (There it is again) for those who have limited screen realestate (Eg. Laptops) When "Hide IDE Elements" - "revMenuBar" is set to false. Then the width of your rIDE can be reduced all the way down to your "RUN ICON" Roughly about 290 width si...
