Re: DGH 2.1 is compatible with LC 8.x

I'm actually working on a major version of DGH supporting datagrids 2 and containing new features.
That are great news. Can´t wait to try. :D

Re: Windows system tray icon

@Panos this makes me remembering that i asked Livecode Mark when he or Kevin introduced the Mac OSX native button at LC Global about the possibility to add a status icon to the Mac OS X menu bar. He promised to check. And at a later LC global i asked again and he said that he will ask Ali to have a ...

Re: Send mail in Windows without Outlook

If you have a LC Indy or Business license you can use the tsNet external, which is included in the commercial licenses, to do such a task. If not, you can use Sarah Reichelts smtp library (supports even HTML) https://github.com/trozware/rev_stacks/blob/master/SMTP_library_demo.rev or Chip Walter´s a...

Re: Don't make me think!! -- no context menus on MAC LC9

Hi Lagi, in any case,do you have DataGridHelper installed in your plugins folder? I ran into this problem now multiple times. Deleting the prefs file helps for some time, but sooner or later it happens again. What i found out is, that in my case DGH2.1 was causing this in combination with LC8 AND 9....

Re: Excel lib Requirements

Hi, Klaus was not wrong. The author of the Excel Library is also selling an .xlsx library which works without Excel. See his post from October 2016 http://www.aslugontheroad.com/29-excel-library-xlsx-editor-prototype You can purchase an annual license for it here http://aslugontheroad.com/maintenanc...

Re: Sample stack and lc server scripts for uploads to lc ser

As the stack only runs with LC 8.1.4, because of the widget, i decided to make some changes to the stack, so it can be used either with the widget (LC 8.1.4) or with a scrollbar (any LC8 or 9). If you want to use the stack with a scrollbar instead of the widget, then just delete the gauge widget on ...

Re: Sending emails with LiveCode

Hi Zood,

if you are using a commercial license of LC, like Indy or Business, then you could use the tsNET external for sending out emails.

I´ve uploaded a sample stack which shows basic email and ftp functions using the tsNet.

Re: letsencrypt and livecode hosting

Yes. I have Let´s encrypt certificates installed on two of my hosting accounts. What i noticed i when communicating with the hosting support is, that some of my request were solved, but i did not get an email about that. The automatic reply always arrived. Maybe the certificates have been already in...

Re: DGH 2.1 is compatible with LC 8.x

I saw exact the same. Several times now. I´ve reinstalled a backup copy of the ASG_DataGrid_Helper 2.1.rev file and it worked again.

I have no idea what is causing this. But at least i got it back working.

Re: Gauge widget

Was anyone able to use the widget successfully with LC 8.1.5RC1 or LC9DP7 with colorwidth of the widget set to "wide"? When i sett the colorwidth to "wide" the widget does not display any color between the segment lines and not on the segment lines. Switching back to "smal"l shows a color again on h...

Simon,

Bjoernke von Gierke created a chat program ChatRev some time ago. He´s also offering the sources for the client and the server. Maybe this is useful for you

Sample stack and lc server scripts for uploads to lc server

Hi, i´ve created a little stack and two livecode server scripts that allow to upload a file to a web server running livecode server version 8 or higher. After successful upload the download url of the uploaded file is copied to the clipboard for sharing purposes. The stack has a little filemanager i...

Re: Put Header Used for Redirects

Hi,

just add another put statement at the end of the script.

For example

Code: Select all

<?lc
put header "Status: 301 Moved Permanently"
put header "Location: /index.shtml"
put ""
?>
That should do.
