Re: cannot open, file is not a stack (solved)

Turns out to be a Dropbox issue (which has never been a problem). I downloaded the project folder as a zip rather than using my synced folder and all is well.

cannot open, file is not a stack

Haven't opened a stack in several years and tried to do so today using a new Mac that has never had LC installed. I'm using 9.6.9 and can't open any stack.

Help?

Set the location to Always

Tried to upload an update to one of my apps. I'm using LiveCode 9.5.0 I had the location set to "While using"....even though my app does not need location at all. The update was rejected because I did not have a usage description for "Location always." So I rebuilt using "Location Always" and the ap...

Re: UIApplicationExitOnSuspend

Does anyone have advice for how to detect when the app is coming back from a suspended state and how to deal with that? My apps really need to reset from scratch when coming back from a suspended state (because they are essentially quizzes that students are taking). So Apple apparently doesn't want ...

Re: UIApplicationExitOnSuspend

Thanks. I’ll remove the line in the plist for now.

My apps are used in a class setting (shared iPads). I’m bummed Apple has deprecated this.

UIApplicationExitOnSuspend

I am getting a warning when uploading to AppStoreConnect: The Info.plist contains a key 'UIApplicationExitsOnSuspend' in bundle xxxx that will soon be unsupported. Remove the key, rebuild your app and resubmit. I read the latest release notes for 9.0.5 and do not see this addressed. Anyone have any ...

9.0.4 rc2...two thumbs up

Thanks to all involved with the latest release. I was able to submit an iOS app update without alterations to the plist. Additionally, this was the first time I did not receive an email from Apple warning about the push notifications! Looking at the plist, I notice that there are still features clai...

Thanks folks. I usually go straight to downloads as well. Did that and all is well.

Installer (autoupdated?) failing on 9.0.4-rc-2 Mac OS

I've tried a few times to install but it asks for admin permission to do the install and then fails. Anyone else? Thoughts?

It's still ok to ignore it but, like you, I do not understand why it happens.

Re: Rejected App due to HealthKit (HealthKit is not referenced)

Thanks Jim, did that. My apps are in review this morning as I type this. Hopefully no incident, but it still concerns me that I had to tell them I'm using location services when my apps do not.

Update: Approved

Re: Missing Info.plist key - NSLocationAlwaysUsageDescription

Clearly Apple changed something. But, as I have brought up in another thread, the plists generated by LC include claims of usage for all kinds of services my apps do not use (photo library, microphone, on and on). Apple is getting more strict about privacy. We need plists that actually reflect what ...

Re: Rejected App due to HealthKit (HealthKit is not referenced)

I am now getting rejections from Apple over the NSLocationAlwaysUsageDescription. My app does not use location services at all. I'm now at a standstill.

Re: Rejected App due to HealthKit (HealthKit is not referenced)

9.0.3 is released and it does fix. Though...still wondering why the plist still shows many features in use that my app does not use (camera, location, photo library etc.) but it least it does not generate an error when submitting.
